Never heard of Azure, either, but I hope it’s not too late to get out of it.

Google Elizabeth Holmes.
“as long as steps are still taken to protect the data from other parties”
That is so reassuring.....
Not!
Yeah, I imagine one or two MS certified techs will be uploading the data but I doubt they’d even care to look at it. Pretty boring stuff. Then it will just be CVS employees accessing one record at a time.
I think the blockchain will be found to be more secure than cloud servers.
Probably less so than keeping the machines in house. The cloud companies already put in a lot of security by default. Work your IT staff would have to remember to do on in house servers.
Azure is MS’s cloud service, what CVS is switching over to that inspired this pure FUD “article”. It’s 5 1/2 years too late. Walgreens started that project a long time ago and finished in May.

How Blockchain Storage Works
Shard Data
The sequence begins with the preparation of data that is to be stored. This preparation is done by creating data shards or segments.
Encrypt Shards
After creating the shards, they are then encrypted.
Generate Hashes
A special hash is generated for each of these shards.
Replicate Shards
Thereafter, the process follows the creation of redundant copies for each of the shards.
Distribute Shards
The process continues with the distribution of the shard replications across the decentralized nodes in the blockchain system.
Record Transactions
Finally, the records of these transactions are stored in a blockchain ledger which serves as a decentralized record system of information concerning inter-party communications and transactions.
The blockchain system evaluates and confirms the authenticity of these transactions by synchronizing the transactions across the nodes in the blockchain.
Thanks to both of you!
Wellden. I need to find somewhere else to put my prescriptions... if it’s not too late.

Block chain and cloud aren’t mutually exclusive. Block chain is just a method of storing and securing data, cloud is just a location.
Thanks
Everybody is going cloud. It’s cheaper, and you have somebody to sue when things go wrong. Might be MS. Might be Amazon. Might be Google. It’s gonna be somewhere not in house.
I hate Cloud. I refuse to use it. Right now, I have everything in a 3T slave. I don’t see any reason to not have my documents there. Especially if “electronical” things Go South.
But thanks. More stuff I didn’t know, so don’t let anyone tell you old dogs can’t learn new tricks!

Where’s the link to the article?
I linked to the whole mondo thread, not post #762.
Second item down, headed "Globalism / Great Reset -"
CVS is reportedly in the process of tuning over medical data to Microsoft. According to reports, Microsoft Azure will help CVS “enhance its omnichannel pharmacy capabilities and deliver customized, omnichannel health recommendations,” which is likely only possible if patients’ medical histories are laid bare for Microsoft, and possibly Gates, to view and analyze. Action has raised suspicion that the data will get into the hands of others for eventual profiling and creation of a wuhan data base.
Cloud based data storage, not managed by Microsoft but at some level might have access to it via maintenance and development during startup.
I wish all our problems were as easy to deal with as this one. I still deal with a local pharmacy myself so if you’re concerned about this, pay a little more and give your business elsewhere.
