“Damn! I was hoping for WW3.
Great! Because appeasement worked so well stopping WW II.”

Actually, I posted this a while back before, to my knowledge, it was being talked about on FR or in the MSM, until finally Tucker Carlson spoke to this issue a couple of days ago. Here’s what I said:

“There is an off chance that Biden’s handlers, horror of horrors, could lead us into war, only as a means of distraction away from their disastrous regime’s attempts to change us into a socialist State while destroying our economy.”

We couldn’t stop them anyway short of a nuclear war.

Same with Taiwan

To hell with Russia.

The epitome of thieves and vipers with a KGB hack and his oligarchs tyrannically electing themselves for eternity.

Allied with rogues like Iran and Norks.
They take out political opponents and they bully the weaker countries.

“The people of Crimea flocked to the polls to vote to go back to being part of Russia.”

1. Those elections were fraudulent as they were not sanctioned by Ukraine. One day New Mexico and Texas can vote to go back to Mexico, but those elections would be invalid as well.

2. The Russians in Ukraine and Crimea were forcibly placed thee by the old Stalinist regime of the Soviet Union. They can now go back to Russia if they choose to.

3. Ukraine is none of Russia’s business. They are sovereign nation and can choose what they do and who they ally with.

4. Russia has guaranteed, by their expansionist policies, that Ukraine will choose the West and Nato.

The old man should stay out of it. Better let them fight.

I agree with you. My point is Ukraine is even worse in that is anti-American internal forces in our country which use them as a base of operations and for money laundering back into the pockets of these traitorous vermin. Ukraine sleeps with the enemy within. We owe them less than nothing. As far as the Norks and Iran, Ukraine is no better than Russia and neither are our traitors. Empires fall from within. Remember that.

“ton of cognitive dissonance as you watch our “Neo cons” and “chicken hawks” hand over Ukraine to Russia without a fight or even any financial sanctions.”

That would be good and sound US policy.

EXACTLY. Those houses and apartments were given to top White Russian communist functionaries. Crimea was a desired posting, Ukraine less so but it beat the hell out of Kazakhstan or even Bulgaria. Gorbachev built his multi-million dollar dacha in Foros.

We're rewarding the Soviets for the same policy that Mexico and the 3rd wavers pendejos are trying to foist upon US, La Reconquista.

“We have a moral obligation and a legal obligation to our NATO allies if they were to attack under Article 5, it’s a sacred obligation,” Biden said. “That obligation does not extend to NATO – I mean to Ukraine.

Russia doesn't care if Nord Stream-2 is cancelled by Western sanctions. They've got less than $6B of sunk infrastructure costs in the project and the rise in natural gas prices resulting from the shut down covers that cost six fold.

Six fold is an optimistic figure, but the cost is likely recuperatded due to the high prices anyways.

What the haters do not realize is that Russia can easily ship its gas elsewhere, where Europe has no options to replace it.

The promise of the American LNG and the market shaped for it against Gazprom is the major reason of the price hikes.

The American LNG failed to arrive though.

Gazprom estimates the average cost per 1,000 cubic meters of gas to Europe in 2021 will be $550. In 2020 the average cost to Europe was $143 per 1,000 cubic meters.

That’s almost a 4x increase in one year.

Further delays opening Nord Stream-2 will only make things worse for Europe...and there’s nothing the United States can do about it.

The American LNG failed to arrive though.

Because Asia outbid Europe for the American supply, and the Biden administration isn't prioritizing domestic production.

I'm sure the Russians see the irony of the situation.

Too bad the Euro idiots don’t and double down on stupid.

Poland initiated the anti-trust investigation to prove that Gazprom is behind the price hikes.

Before that they mulled the ‘third energy package’ limiting Gazprom to using just 50% of its transit capacity, the rest reserved to non-existent alternative sources, and ban fixed contracts for spot market price.

They also filed and won a lawsuit against Gazprom to overturn the fixed contract and get their gas for a market price.

Now the market price is ten times that and they demand discounts nobody is going to offer.

The businesses are closing in Poland because no cheap labor is able to comoensatw the high energy costs.

Any country that uses nuclear weaponry will be sued off the planet for “environmental climate change problems” they’ve caused.

For certain the people of Gaul more than 2000 years ago had their ‘day in court’ against those antagonistic Romans, who virtually destroyed their entire way of life in order to ‘civilize’ them. They likely lost the day in court, but it was a great try.

There might be other examples of such episodes in different places and times.

Neville Chamberlain realized what he was doing less than one year after Munich and changed course completely. Joe Xiden’s handlers never will.
