President Biden made an early morning trip to church Wednesday to mark the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception ahead of an afternoon flight to Kansas City to push his spending agenda.

Biden attended the 8:15 a.m. Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown, waving to children and parents outside the adjacent Holy Trinity School as he walked in.

The president left the church approximately 40 minutes after he arrived and returned to the White House.

The trip was not initially listed on Biden’s public schedule. The president was expected to depart Washington later Wednesday morning to travel to Kansas City for a 3:30 p.m. speech about the recently enacted bipartisan infrastructure spending law, as well as his nearly $2 trillion social spending plan.

The Immaculate Conception refers to the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary without original sin on her soul. Catholics believe Tharp we are all born with the sin of Adam and Eve, called original sin, and can only be removed through the sacrament of Baptism.

Did he tell the story of how he offered Mary a ride to the abortion clinic? Just asking

The Immaculate Conception probably doesn’t mean what you think it means. It is an exclusively Catholic doctrine relating to Mary and even most Catholics get it wrong.

This doctrine was dogmatized ex cathedra in 1854, which "happened" to be the 800th Anniversary of the Great Schism.

There was nothing happenstantial or coincidental. The promulgation was an "in your face" to Orthodox Christians and a further deepening of an unfortunate fracture.

Be glad you didn’t end up becoming a Priest in the 70’s, or a Bishop in the 90’s.

Joe Biden is really addle-brained to favor abortion (the killing of young ones) and still attending church on Holy Days. No good Catholic thinks like that. The Catholics in the entire country cannot figure out what the heck he is doing. It looks artificial as all get out. phoney as can be. You either believe in the Catholic faith or you do not. There is no making up your own rules for one part of it. I would like to see a poll on who beleives Biden is honestly sincere!

I didn’t think you were. But suggesting that someone be strangled with prayer beads is a hatefulness towards both God and man not Christian in any form.

That’s why I qualified my remarks by saying Roman Catholics believe. I realize that other Christian denominations have different beliefs.

I am an Orthodox Christian but the Western “St Michael Prayer” seems very well suited to the situation:

“St. Michael, the archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the malice
and snares of the devil.
We humbly beseech God to command him.
And do thou,
O prince of the heavenly host,
by the divine power
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who roam through the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.”

I have been told that the Devil really hates prayers offered in Latin or in Greek. Latin version:

“Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in praelio.
Contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium.
Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur.
Tuque princeps militiae caelestis,
Satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo divina virtute in
infernum detrude. Amen.”

Brandon thought it was a church for the Immaculate Reception, the Terry Bradshaw pass to Franco Harris. 🤓
