Newsmax is the original source and they posted it this morning behind a paywall, headline only available.
This is the first source I've seen that has read the Newsmax piece and comments on it.

If this is true, it is even more urgent that we Catholics pray for the Pope’s conversion.

It is John Gizzi so I am little hesitant to believe this story.

The pope is dying?
I blame Joe Biden. That dump in his Depends he had several weeks back when he had an audience with the pope must have been deadly.

It would be both tragic and amusing if Benedict was asked to return. He probably won’t be, nor do I think he would even accept, due to his own worsened health.

I wish people would monitor my health so well they can give me about a 1 year heads up.

Fake news. There are two bishops in white
milling about Rome these days. The author of the piece appears to be laboring under a musapprehension at to which bishop in white is the Vicar of Christ, and which not.
No need for a conclave if the other fellow shuffles off this mortal coil.

There is some question about whose side he has been for.
He better hurry and make sure he’s got straight.

The Catholic church needs a Pope John Paul George; that way it could get back to where it once belonged.
