“As a strong advocate for consumers and a staunch defender of the safety and soundness of our financial system, Saule would have brought invaluable insight and perspective to our important work on behalf of the American people,” Biden said in a statement. Frankly, I impressed that they've invented a transciption machine that translates the sounds of Joek eating ice cream and filling his adult diaper into human speech...

Well, well.
She can always return to her former career.

Let’s see what they replace her with. Probably will the one they wanted all along, but figured they won’t reject the nominee for a second time.

Crisis averted.
Can you imagine the harm this woman could have caused? It was clear during her interview before the Senate committee that she was a wrong'un.

“As a strong advocate for consumers and a staunch defender of the safety and soundness of our financial system,. . ."What I heard her say was that she wanted to wreck our banking system, NOT defend its safety and soundness.

Biden is so over his head...
This woman should never have been lofted > IMO.
There’s way too aggressive action going on at the FED and
in banking regulation.
I am not a firm believe in fixing something that isn’t broken,
and I do not see the financial industry as being as broken as
these people seem to think it is.
Tweaks? Sure! Full overhaul by a Leftist leaning group of
idiots? Hell no!

It’s the oldest trick in the book. Make the first person so unpalatable that they are rejected, then slide in the person they really wanted all along who breezes through because they dare not choose not to confirm a second time.

I’d say keep an eye on her. She just withdrew from a position that requires confirmation. Ten bucks says she gets appointed to some “advisory” position to accomplish the same end.

She would have sailed through confirmation without the exotic commie background. They’ll put up a more usual stealth candidate next time and the GOP will happily confirm them.

Finally some relief from the communist onslaught.
To: asinclair
She made AOC seem like a fiscal conservative.
To: ChicagoConservative27
Although she probably wouldn’t want the job, I recommend Sheila Bair, former head of the FDIC.

Why would Moscow take her, they aren’t Communists? I’m sure Seattle would welcome her, though.
