So-called "ghost guns" are untraceable firearms that can be bought online and assembled at home, without background checks (and with the aid of YouTube videos).

Earlier this week, police said one such ghost gun was used in a shooting at a high school in Arizona.
The guns' rise in popularity is a "fast-growing scourge" facing the U.S, according to Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit against gun violence.
"With a DIY kit ordered online and some commonly available tools, a novice can make their own pistol, like a Glock 19, or an assault-style rifle, like an AR-15 or AK-47, in just a few hours," it has warned.
The Biden administration's gun control plans outlined in April took aim at ghost guns, with the Untraceable Firearms Act to make serial numbers compulsory for components, and to ensure buyers have background checks.
By updating the definitions of "firearm" and related parts, officials also hope to close what the DoJ has dubbed a "regulatory loophole" that allows these self-assemble kits to be sold without checks.

Don’t have one. Don’t need one. But may order a kit just because.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
This is one of several such articles I’ve seen the past few days, which suggests the presstitutes all got the same memo.
If you start messing around, remember to use a VPN.
Don't forget that the AFT closed their comment period on proposed rules requiring all self-made firearms to be issued a serial number by an FFL about 6 months ago.
The MSM are attempting to swing public opinion towards the serial number requirement prior to the AFT's issuance of such rules and the subsequent firestorm of objections and lawsuits that will follow.
—yep—just the latest —
—this garbage does review the last 60 years of whatever was (is) the latest from the anti’s —

But, apparently, it doesn't trouble the author that black gangs and black supremacists, who commit most murders are using them.
the usual crap
why do they bother with this garbage?
nobody would ever follow any such restrictions even IF they were promulgated... it is complete farce theatre
But propaganda does not have to be rational to be effective.
A few hundred thousand guns made without serial numbers are near meaningless in a nation of 480 million guns, most of which are unregistered and effectively "untraceable".
People can make their own firearms for personal use.
Dont need govt permission if they arent selling them. Nor do they need serial numbers then.
The federales know this.
Yes, but this is exactly what they are trying to change...the Constitution be damned.
On the whole, people smart enough to actually build a gun aren’t stupid enough to throw everything away by abusing it.
From the article:
“So-called “ghost guns” are untraceable firearms that can be bought online and assembled at home, without background checks (and with the aid of YouTube videos).”
I’d like to lock one of these reporters in a room with an 80% receiver and youtube and let them make a functional firearm. I might even throw in an upper receiver, barrel, and parts kit. They don’t have the slightest idea what they’re talking about.
Just for that I need to build another AR-15 from an 80% receiver. I’m going to write ghost gun on the receiver.
Which school shooting in Arizona and when ... probably BS.
according to Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit against gun violence.
“With a DIY kit ordered online and some commonly available tools, a novice can make their own 88mm anti-tank gun,
or other heavy or crew served weapon”.
Stop ghost anti-tank guns now!
I’d like to lock one of these reporters in a room with an 80% receiver and youtube and let them make a functional firearm. I might even throw in an upper receiver, barrel, and parts kit.
Then they should be made to fire what ever it is they make.
What, no takers?
