“Died in their sleep” when one has cancer usually means a drug induced sleep. Peaceful really isn’t part of the equation.

Bob Dole was more comfortable leading the minority party than he was being in the majority party. McConnell is the same way.

When he ran against Clinton in 1996, I said it was a race between the guy who couldn’t get it up and the guy who couldn’t keep it down.

Still he was a war hero and led a long long life.

Bob Dole, giant of the Senate and 1996 Republican presidential nominee, dies.

I met him back in 1996 when he was running for president. He was too gentle for the fight.

RIP Bob Dole.

And for those who do not admire this great man, he was FAR FAR FAR a better senate leader than McConnell.

This.

He was a decent man.

We are fortunate he was with us as long as he was.

Briefly worked on Bob’s 1996 campaign and attended the GOP convention that nominated him. Bob was a great human being and it is a shame he was never elected POTUS.
