The parents charged in connection with this week's deadly shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan did not turn themselves in for their scheduled arraignment Friday afternoon and continue to be at large, according to law enforcement officials.
The Marshals Service announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to their arrests.

What about the school principal who is responsible for the safety of the students. Why would he let that student stay in the school after the behavior he had shown. Should have told the parents to take him home after that parent conference and have him evaluated before he could return to school property. The school has deep pockets and is insured up to their gills. I place equal responsibility on the school administration and parents.
I do not blame them.
The statement of the families lawyer notwithstanding, they’re running like Jesse Owens.

Neither do I. They are being tried by public opinion.
Interesting. Please explain your rationale.

Did the school have a live-shooter protocol? After Columbine, etc., I thought that schools were supposed to train teachers how to protect students. A student protected students. This administration has to be held responsible if it is shown that they could have prevented this tragedy.
Funny, the day of the shooting the parents were called to the school and downplayed his behavior and said he should go back to class.
Quite sure they have such a policy. From what I heard the kid just started randomly shooting in the school hallway, not a classroom, those protocols went out the window.
The school administration screwed up. Search the kid, locker and backpack. Send him home with parents. If a gun was found call law enforcement and have him taken away. Would have saved a lot of heart ache and lives as well as the parents’ lives.
After being tied to Trump ( even though the LIBERAL mother just wrote a letter to trump ) they are probably scared for their lives as the media will destroy them when found.
They are going to be put in a show trial. They will subjected to lawfare by the state and anti gun groups.
They will be either be in prison or broke. If they can disappear and start over, I would not blame them.
Note, I am not saying they should not have been more careful and had better parental response. In a just society they they should face charges. We do not live in a just society.

If what they did is what’s being represented in the press (a big “if”, I know) then they were monumentally stupid. I’m not sure if this is the hill you want to die on. But I respect your opinion.

Some districts have policies to actually prevent punishing students. If that student isn’t in school, that’s dollars for next year that they lose; the same applies to chronically ill students who physically can’t be in class. I was one of the latter.
That and some buy into the, “school to prison pipeline”, and think that BD kids just need more chances instead of a firm course correction.
My wife just told me they were picked up a few minutes ago.
Yes, my wife just saw it in the Fox news app
Tried by public opinion? Are you kidding? They shared their entire life on Social media. Showing the world they provided a child a handgun, mommy instructing son to lie. They are 100% culpable and directly accountable to the actions that occurred on that day.
Yes, it was all out there, and they are obviously culpable, but they still get a trial. Should all of that electronic info regarding the phone texts have been released outside of a courtroom? How about how to much money they took out of the bank? Should the public have been told that?
Released outside the courtroom, no and yes they should still get a trial. However, now the cat’s out of the bag there’s no putting it back. It happens a great deal in high profile cases. Others are attempting to shuffle blame right over to the school when it was they, the school, contacting the parents to get their kid. They punted. OTOH we’re on this grand crusade of parental rights and responsibility to NOT have the schools raise our kids. In the same breath we are extolling them when inconvienent facts get in the way of scoring political points. This is not a family worth defending over 2nd amendment issues and I’d run very far away from trying. It makes us look silly doing so
