Two Georgia election workers have filed a defamation lawsuit accusing conservative US website The Gateway Pundit of knowingly publishing false stories that said the workers had engaged in ballot fraud during the 2020 general election.
On Thursday, local time, Fulton County elections workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss, a mother and daughter, filed the lawsuit against the news website, its owner, Jim Hoft, and his brother, Joe Hoft, a contributor to the site.
Among other things, the lawsuit says the website and the Hofts conducted a "campaign of lies" that led to online and in-person harassment against the two women.
Those alleged falsehoods "have not only devastated their personal and professional reputations but instigated a deluge of intimidation, harassment and threats that have forced them to change their phone numbers, delete their online accounts and fear for their physical safety", the lawsuit says.
Attempts to contact The Gateway Pundit and the Hofts were unsuccessful.

This will get as much coverage as the Dominion suit against Trump did.
And when it gets thrown out it will get as little coverage is the dominion suit against Trump did

True, but without documentation, they don’t have much of a case. They could try for outright fraud, but an astute legal team would expose it.

Dominion hasn’t sued President Trump, although I believe Eric Coomer has.
If these two were actually involved in the fraud they wouldn’t still be above ground after being publicly named.
Correction Coomer hasn’t sued Trump personally. Misleading article, He sued Powell, Guliani, some media, etc. Don’t believe anyone has sued the President personally.
There is that problem that there is video taken by the arena security that shows these people pulling boxes of ballots out from under a table after most people were asked to leave under false pretenses. The video also appears to show them counting these ballots multiple times.
There will be no fair election going forward until we make proprietary software used in electronic voting machines illegal. Right now an unaccountable 3rd party with little or no oversight is responsible for tabulating voting results and for some reason people seem to be fine with this.
They couldn't have shredded the documents Trump has supporting his claim. That should make for interesting discovery.

It may be about just making it unprofitable for conservative websites to publish information by making insurance too costly. I wonder who is funding the lawsuit.
