The parents of accused Michigan school shooter Ethan Crumbley are now on the run from police, just hours after a prosecutor announced involuntary manslaughter charges against them and revealed stunning details about the murder weapon that was a Christmas gift for the 15-year-old, whom police say shot dead four students after penning a disturbing note saying 'thoughts won't stop, help me.' Police have issued a 'be on the lookout alert' for James and Jennifer Crumbley, who were charged Friday with four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Tuesday's deadly shooting. The charge carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison. Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald alleged that the parents ignored multiple warning signs and refused to take their son out of school just hours before the shooting took place.

This just gets crazier. That prosecutor has her hands full on this one!
The media are simply regurgitating everything told to them by the prosecution. For all we know, the "prior convictions" are traffic tickets, or occurred when the parents were juveniles.
Maybe the parents really are dirtbags, but after the gross deceit by both the prosecution and the press in the Rittenhouse case, I'll wait to see if the truth makes an appearance.
AND they both have criminal records!? How the HELL did dear old dad pass a background check??
and the school administrators said no discipline warranted.
are they culpable as well?
how is that a choice? did the school suspend him? bar him from school property? report him to the police?
i read the school said no discipline warranted
Dark, Dark humor 😗
Not smart to run. Talk to a lawyer first, have him bring
you in.
These folks sure don’t seem like the sharpest knives in
the drawer.
My first thought would probably be that the kid was going to commit suicide.
Generally speaking, a felony conviction precludes firearm ownership. Not all criminal records are for felonies. One can rack up any number of misdemeanors and still legitimately pass an NCIC background check to purchase a firearm.
Panic? Stupid.
“criminal dad” is not necessarily “felon dad.”
“””Seeing clear evidence that their disturbed son (who they had just bought a pistol) was having serious homicidal and suicidal thoughts and crying out for help, they just walked away. Unreal.”””
And the parents apparently did not tell the school principal that “oh, by the way, we bought a pistol for our dear mentally ill son a couple of days ago”
I am 100 per cent with you there.
Nut job parents that provide pistols to crazed 15 year olds need to be locked up 🤪
from DM sidebar:
Court records from Florida indicate that on February 12, 2005, the pair were charged with driving under the influence. They pleaded no contest and were fined $652 each,
James’ criminal record in Florida also includes a charge of driving with a suspended license and having an improper tag, which cost him more than $200 in fines
Two years prior to the DUI case, Jennifer was accused of passing a bad check in the amount of $150, earning her a misdemeanor charge that was ultimately dismissed.
She was accused again in 2004 of writing a phony check and was fined $240.
James’ history of run-ins with the law did not impede him from passing a background check when purchasing the 9mm Sig Sauer on November 26.

Good bet.
its not a straw purchase
every kid who got a gun from his parents for xmas is a straw purchase?
Thank you.
Yes! I misspoke as I was answering multiple posts between speaking of her step son who had the sense to LEAVE that place, and her bio son who didn’t have the choice.
DM has updated this story to include parents’ support for Trump and 2A. (sigh)
They’ve put up an “open letter” to Trump from the mother praising him for protecting 2A rights and a Facebook comment from the father “Trump will protect our 2nd amendment! I want my child to get a gun”.
