Joe Biden's policies since he took office have allowed inflation to surge in the United States, with gasoline prices up by more than a dollar a gallon across wide regions, food more costly and even consumer items demanding higher prices because of those increases in transportation costs.

Now a new poll from Gallup confirms what consumers already know all too well: it's causing hardship for them.

The poll revealed that Biden's inflation is causing "hardship" for nearly half of the nation's population – 45% to be exact.

And it hits hardest at those who can least afford it, the poll reveals.

Seventy-one percent of households with income of less than $40,000 are suffering hardship as well as 47% of those households with income from $40,000 to $99,999.
