Speaking right now. Voice is really raspy, coughing, slurring words. Went out yesterday to light tree. I think he just may have pneumonia.
Many of the properties where I live are Manufactured houses.
Double wide & triple wide—on foundations, considered real property. Well made. I am in mine for 17 years, and I have no complaints.
A lot I can see from my kitchen was developed starting in Feb, 2021.
Leveled, Well drilled, Septic installed, foundation poured & cured, garage built & ready.
Was supposed to be ready for Occupancy in August,2021.
In early October, I heard that purchaser of property-—in ESCROW for months-—had been informed “Not to expect to see home until Dec-MAYBE.
The contractor is stuck. He cannot close escrow on this property, which he already has done everything to, including buying the lot from a friend of mine.
Same contractor bought adjacent lot, and backhoe driver spent a month leveling it-—very rocky.
THERE it all sits.....
I do NOT personally know this contractor, but I do know it is NOT a big company. He must be tap dancing to stave off bankruptcy with so much $$$ sunk into 2 properties that he cannot collect $$$ on to continue his business.
Some reports are that the manufacturer of the home cannot get LUMBER-—Gee what a surprise-—and that workers are staying home because they are being paid more than their net paychecks. GEEE—Another surprise !!!
Lumber is still a problem, and Biden is saying HE will set LUMBER prices. Not sure he has the power he THINKS he has.
Meanwhile—NO ONE is talking about how many board feet of lumber was burned this past year in Calif forest fires.

I just got an email from an youth organization I work with. They ordered Black Friday stock in June. The ship just landed in Savannah. Unloading, Customs inspection and Delivery will still be delayed. They anticipate receiving the stock in January.
