Anthony Fauci on Thursday blasted Fox News and said he was "astounded" that the network did not discipline host Lara Logan for comparing him to the infamous Nazi doctor Josef Mengele, who worked at Auschwitz during the Holocaust.
"What I find striking is how she gets no discipline whatsoever from the Fox network. How they can let her say that with no comment and no disciplinary action. I’m astounded by that," the chief White House medical adviser said in an appearance on MSNBC.
He said it was an insult to all of the people who suffered and died under the Nazi regime in the concentration camps.
"It's unconscionable what she said. She was being totally slanderous to me and, as usual, had no idea what she was talking about," he said.
Fox News did not immediately respond to The Hill's request for comment.
"What you see on Dr. Fauci, this is what people say to me, that he doesn't represent science to them. He represents Josef Mengele ... the Nazi doctor who did experiments on Jews during the Second World War and in the concentration camps," Logan said on Monday during "Fox News Primetime."
"And I am talking about people all across the world are saying this. Because the response from COVID, what it has done to countries everywhere, what it has done to civil liberties, the suicide rates, the poverty, it has obliterated economies," she added.
After her comments, Logan was condemned by Jewish organizations — including the Anti-Defamation League and the Auschwitz Memorial.
The American Jewish Committee also tweeted asking "why is Fox News staying silent?" in response to Logan doubling down on her comments.
ADL spokesperson Jake Hyman said in a statement to CNN, “Logan and the network seem to be immune to shame and allergic to remorse."
Fauci has been a target for criticism from GOP members of Congress and conservative media figures since the early months of the pandemic.
I don't like comparisons to Nazi's and they shouldn't be used lightly however with Fauci it is absolutely warranted in my opinion.

I just got my copy of RFK Jr.’s The Real Anthony Fauci. Flipping through the first couple of chapters, one thing really stood out — that Fauci dispenses some $7 billion in research grants to “public health” researchers all over the world. He has held that position for 30 years. This means that for thirty years there has been one-man monopoly control over virtually all public health-related “peer review.”
This proves in spades what a clownish, lying, incompetent, corrupt stooge Fauci is when he responds to criticism with statements like “everyone I know agrees with me on this.” Yeah, everyone who works for him and is paid by him, or wishes to work for him and be paid by him (with taxpayers’ money). This means that “public health” peer review is a joke and a fraud. No other profession in the world would be taken seriously if one single government bureaucrat was effectively in charge of all the professional publications in the entire field.
And what Fauci doesn’t control through government funding, other government bureaucrats at NIH and elsewhere do. They are Fauci wannabes in this corrupt, stinking, fraudulent field of “public” health. No wonder Dr. Scott Atlas, a real doctor and medical researcher, was so shocked at the immense incompetence he was exposed to while serving on President Trump’s COVID task force and sitting through meetings with dopey Fauci and that goofy scarf woman. He told Tucker Carlson that the two of them seemed 100% detached from and unaware of the relevant science and did nothing but repeat leftist lockdown/masking/you-must-obey/jab-every-child/shut-down-all-the-schools-and-churches talking points without even discussing any scientific basis for any of it.

Fauci has made a mess of the covid response with is misdirection and outright lies. Fauci is responsible for many deaths. Fauci isn’t close to Mengele in intent, but in terms of damage, maybe worse?
Now this bozo is trying to censor reporters. Sue them if you think you have been libeled. Let’s test the validity of the comparison of you to Mengele in court.

It won't happen, he's a public figure. How do I know? He's on 3 TV sets a day and 2 radio shows and 4 podcasts. He has better name recognition that the Vice President of the United States.
Why wouldn’t Fauci be Proud to be compared to his Daddy, Josef Mengele? He should be happy that the world sees him just as they saw his Real Father, Dr Mengele
It didn’t seem possible a year ago, but more and more I am starting to believe everyone who predicted that democrats would stretch covid ‘crisis’ all the way to the mid-terms (mostly predicted here). This isn’t just about the elections though. It’s about transforming the economy.
If Fauci is a pawn, he is dialed directly in to the evil.
