"The stench." Something's rotten in the state of MSNBC. On Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show Wednesday afternoon, the panel was thrilled by Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor's statement, during oral argument regarding Mississippi's law restricting abortion, that overturning Roe v. Wade would create a "stench" over the Court.
The "stench" word was heard no fewer than eight times during the MSNBC segment.
Stench? You know what really stinks, Nicolle? The estimated 62 million abortions that have been performed in the US since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.

These ghouls have no shame.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
The Media has not rational, humane arguments in favor of the pro-abortion side of the argument, so they have to resort to colorful sound bites.
My opinion is the government’s bare minimum job is to help those that cannot help themselves. That certainly describes the unborn.
I suggest Lume deodorant but that may not be enough
The “stench” is the smell of genocide.
Only one word to describe this pathetic waste of oxygen and it starts with a capital C.
I’m sure everyone at Cardinal Spellman Catholic HS is so proud of that racist and baby kill sotomayor.
Late term abortion can be opposed simply because it is barbaric and inhumane.
The Stench will be from pulling the bandages off the Gangrene that has festered for so long.
hugh hewitt made a good point, the stench of abortion is now having the windows opened to air out the country.
Sotomoyor’s “stench,” “brain dead,” and “religious” comments yesterday are run of the mill for the twisted liberal mind. Still waiting for a wise Latina to show up
I feel like Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now, I love the smell of Napalm in the morning it smells like victory so her stench is victory to me
Men have groomed women to allow the pleasure of unprotected sex without concern for romance, commitment and the risk of long term financial obligations. Abortions which are readily available, inexpensive and socially acceptable allow for the men to reach their goals.
The law would restrict abortion to less than 15 weeks. Given minstrel periods occur every 28 days, if you can’t figure out you are knocked up in under 105 days you get what you deserve. Just sayin.
I demand that she recuse herself from the debate and voting on this case. She has compromised herself.
The Trump effect rolls on. If the USSC does the right thing, you will see that willingness to follow Court decisions since 1947 will be revealed as a very one sided thing.
The Left (and by this I include huge supermajorities in both Houses of Congress, 90% of Executive Branch employees, and 85% of Federal judges) will roll out a massive non-compliance program.
You will hear a 6-3 or 5-4 decision overturning Roe as “coming from a bitterly divided court and unlikely to be obeyed”.
Did you ever hear even a squeak from these people when they were on the winning side of a 5-4 decision about a “bitterly divided court”, or did you hear instead about “settled law”?
A decision overturning Roe has been a reason for NH’s very calm and vanilla senior Senator and former governor Jeanne Shaheen to threaten “revolution”.
And I think she’s correct, maybe not in the way she means it. If a decision reversing Roe is disobeyed in a way to make it moot, the fight we’ve been avoiding since 1947 by agreeing to peaceably follow radical, anti-constitutional decisions like Roe will be upon us.
The Wise Latina is also right. The Court will not survive a reversal. Neither will she, at least in her present job. Neither will the rest of the government at Washington.
Face facts. The 1788 Constitution, as amended, is obsolete. My 50 years of imagining that “restoring the constitution” or getting back to “following the constitution” would restore stable and peaceable government have been following a vain hope.
We are going to have to have a new government. Possibly through secession, this time recognized as vastly preferable to civil war. Possibly through politics - electing leaders who will utilize Article V to peacefully change the rules.
But this is unlikely. In Lincoln’s famous words, “Combinations too powerful to be suppressed by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, or by the powers vested in the Marshals by law” have arisen and will not permit changes made under the old Constitution to stand.
