I am so sick hearing about cases. Just stop already.

And yet, there is Florida standing out like a sore thumb MSM refuses to acknowledge.

Please note: You people in Illinois will not get any natural Vitamin D until Spring because of low light conditions. In fact, no one above the 37th parallel will make Vitamin D until then.
Since Covid19 kills people who have low Vitamin D levels - take D supplement and be healthy!

In the week ending on Wednesday, residents who were not fully vaccinated were being hospitalized due to COVID-19 at a rate of 38 per 100,000 residents, surpassing the peak rate during fall 2020, according to the Tribune. What's the rate for the fully vaccinated?

re: “The surge is largely fueled by unvaccinated residents”
The CDC does not count as vaccinated anyone less than two weeks past his last injection, nor anyone not fully vaxxed according to the standard of the moment, be it three, four, or five pokes.
So, as the Pandemic of the Vaccinated grows exponentially, be prepared for the blame being shunted off to the unvaxxed with increasing stridency. The CDC’s definition of who’s vaccinated and who’s not is laying the groundwork for blame-shifting.

I live in downstate IL. The water company has its offices in the same building as the police dept. I go to pay my water bill, BIG sign on the doors requiring masks to enter, pull on my make, go in I’m the only one with a mask on, the three water co ladies, no masks, the 6 or so cops hanging around the lobby, no masks.
My local Rural King has stopped all pretense of trying to prevent exposure , they have removed the clear plastic barriers at the registers and taken down all the signage about masks and social distancing. It’s weird, the govt is harping, pushing the COVID MADNESS, yet all around me folks just going About their business as if nothing is wrong.

The definition of “fully vaccinated” has been changed to include booster shots. Unreal.

Sounds like Delta is flaring through the remaining fuel, and the percentage of the population with immunity keeps growing.

I am a little confused here. Must be my incompetence with new math but the article says the 6000+ cases are driven by the unvaxxed but 61.7% of the 12,770,000 folks in the state are fully vaxxed. That leaves 0.383 * 12,770,000 = 4,890,910 unvaxxed people. If they have a positivity rate of 38 per 100,000 that is (4,890,910/100,000)* 38 = 1,859 which the last I checked was a whole lot smaller than 6,000+. In fact it looks like it is less than a third of the new cases are among the unvaxxed. Don’t tell me The Hill took some press release from the CDC at face value and just assumed it was correct. That would never happen. Where did I go wrong :-)
