Anthony Fauci on Wednesday said he was not aware former President Trump had tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of a presidential debate last year following that revelation in a forthcoming book.
"I certainly was not aware of his test positivity or test negativity," Fauci said at a White House press briefing. "I’m not going to specifically talk about who put who at risk, but I would say… that if you test positive you should be quarantining yourself.”
Mark Meadows, who served as Trump's chief of staff at the time, wrote in his new book that Trump tested positive for the virus three days before the first presidential debate of the 2020 election against then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

So nobody was aware of this except the book writer, well alrighty then.
I doubt Fauci is aware of much that happens outside of the distance of the mirror in front of his face.
Trump has already said that this is not true.

Trump also had a negative coronavirus result from a different test shortly after the positive, according to the Guardian’s account of the book. Trump’s camp interpreted the initial result as a false positive.
Trump’s first positive test came on September 26. The debate took place September 29 at the Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion. On October 2, Trump announced publicly that he and First Lady Melania Trump had contracted the virus. Within days, officials attributed 11 coronavirus cases directly to the debate.
A statement the Cleveland Clinic released after the debate said none of the people who tested positive had accessed the debate hall. All were members of the media, or had worked on debate logistics or set-up in the days before the event.

Are we talking about the PCR test that gave 90% false positive rates and was declared by its inventor not to be an appropriate diagnostic tool for COVID-19?
Fauci’s awareness or more likely, unawareness, of anything associated with actual science of this century is irrelevant.
He has beclowned himself so many times that anyone believing him joins the class of those who really should be in care.

Yep. I can see why they thought that way as PCR tests can yield false positives.
However in this case it appears they were wrong and the original test was correct as Trump certainly did have covid-19 by Oct 2.
So to me ... the headline here is that a 74 year old President Donald Trump conducted a presidential debate while ill with covid-19. If this is true it is quite a testament to President Trump’s strength.
