I agree. However, I think I read that he killed a cheerleader. That strikes me as the sort of anger that incel types have for attractive girls who will have nothing to do with them.
Hadn’t seen that information in the reporting I have read (which isn’t all that much). Lots of details yet to be released. Wouldn’t be surprised if that was a factor as he chose his victims.
Interesting screen name, Sans-Culotte.
Any connection with this famous French Revolutionary March? :

Among my favorites. Personally, I like this one:

*I* was bullied relentlessly, even by those who called themselves my friends, ensuring that I had none. Never EVER did I consider bringing a weapon to school and going gangbusters. Suicide maybe, but not violence directed at others.
This kid had a history of leaving severed animal heads on campus, and had been talking about soing this for awhile. Further proof thay NOBODY takes this sh!t seriously when it’s threatened.
At age 15 there are more incels than not. Least there used to be.
I get the impression there's a lot more action in schools than when I went back in the 70's. I did not even date until I went to college, but I also never wanted to shoot up my school.
Probably CRT mixed with SEL
CRT isn’t taught in high schools. It’s an upper level college course.

Bwa ha ha.
Good one .
Here in Michigan, unsecured weapons are not popular in homes with children. I'm about 250 miles north of Oxford...where we take hunting and concealed carry very seriously. We also take gun safety VERY seriously...well, most of us do.
This past summer, within 100 miles of me, there were two gunshot fatalities. Each of the shooters was a child around 5, and each of the two victims were 5. Two different counties, two different homes. Unsecured firearms in both homes. Huge public outcry, much parent shaming, and rightly so. I believe the prosecutors did not charge either set of parents...the parents will have to live with the stupid moves they made that turned their children into murderers...at the age of 5!
This case is different, in that the shooter had access to the gun. He shouldn't have...someone under 18 has to be supervised by an adult to handle a gun.
In our house, all guns (except hubby's and my EDC) were kept in the safe, and only Dad knew the combo. Guns had to be checked out.
Parents need to be responsible! I hope they charge these parents. Gimmee some time, I'll think up some charges! Although, I think the Oakland prosecutor is gonna press hard for charges for them.
Oh, and no one really wanted to talk about gun control today at the prosecutor and sheriff press conference. They made it more about "how the F*ck did this kid get a gun to school?".
Also, no reports of bullying. Parents were called to the school the morning of the shooting to talk about a discipline problem with the kid. They went home, he went hunting.
I don’t believe guns should be left unsecured.....that gun should have been locked away.

That incident happened at a school in Georgia, no relation to Michigan.
Thank you.
Public schools, at every level, are gladiator academies. I pity those of you for whom bullying was a normal, everyday thing. I thank God nearly every day that my parents sacrificed to get me into good schools where bullying wasn’t tolerated. But I guess I missed out on being able to tell some bullshit internet story abut standing up to the bully.
>>What is it with people that don’t think of the consequences of their action?<<
Good point. Perhaps a series of stark “first person” reality videos should be circulated showing exactly what it’s like for a young person such as Crumbley to be arrested, processed, jailed and arraigned.
I can read. Learn to turn off caps lock. Unless of course you are like 15 yourself and feel a need to type every letter in caps.
Oh, and it is IGNORED. Not IGNORE.
I was bullied by an upperclassman my first year in HS, no idea why he started to (he was popular too).
The second year, we became best friends. I guess the fact that I stood up to him showed I wasn’t a panzy?..
Strange how things happen.

In the 1950s and 1960s is you took driver’s education they would always show a film of gruesome crashes reminding the new drivers what could happen if they get careless (or drunk) while driving.
Not sure if they still do it but at least then the new drivers were shown what the result of bad decisions could be.
Kids today grow up in a world saturated in pornography, leading to the false belief that everyone is having easy sex except them and this must mean there's something wrong with them. I truly believe this is what is driving today's incel culture and the accompanying anger.
When I was a youth, I had my dad's Playboys that I snuck away. Today's young teens have PornHub and endless "stepsister" videos where everyone is getting laid effortlessly.
I don’t believe there is an “incel culture”.
Incel is a derogatory word thrown about to slander. I agree with you about pornography and would add today’s movies and TikTok have had an adverse impact on 15 year old males. However, there are many males in their 20’s and 30’s who look at their female counterparts and have decided to pass. Many label such guys them as incels.
We live in a society where many women are brought up as little princesses who can have it all. They chase and sleep with the top 10-20% of guys in their teens and twenties. Then, as they reach their late 20’s and 30’s, decide to lower their expectations and settle for something less because they want to settle down. Some guys have concluded such potential partners are a bad deal. In addition, they view the family and criminal courts as biased against men. Finally, they have also observed the power structure in many existing marriages. They have decided to go their own way. Who can blame them?
