The Michigan school shooting suspect has been identified as 15-year-old sophomore Ethan Crumbley.
The teen is accused of killing four students and injuring seven others when he allegedly opened fire at his Oxford High School, north of Detroit, on Tuesday.
His father purchased the 9 mm Sig Sauer used in the shooting just four days earlier on Black Friday, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
Crumbley had posted photos of the gun and himself firing it in the lead up to the school shooting, the sheriff added.
Investigators said they are still trying to determine a motive for the deadly shooting because the suspect isn’t speaking to them. However, some classmates have said Crumbley was bullied, according to the Detroit Free Press.

I wonder if they’re going to try to also hold the father criminally liable for an unsecured firearm. I believe some states allow that. Heck, encourage that.

It must have been typical for Ethan’s dad to leave his weapons not locked up. Ethan ws able to post photos of the new gun and even fire it for a practice run.
Ethan is the killer here and needs to be locked away, but his dad is also complicit by leaving his weapons and ammo unsecured.
What a disgrace this twerp is. He and other killers put the right to bare arms at risk everytime they do this stupid crap. No way should anyone here try to justify or make him some sort of hero. He deserves no alcolades.

I was bullied mercilessly in middle school. I even stood up to my bully and was beaten bloody. The bullying was even worse thereafter. I never once considered using a weapon outside of my own fists.
And good for them. A secured firearm might make snowflakes feel safe, but it makes would-be murderers and home invaders less likely to hurt you.
Get a grip.
