The Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) in Texas is using its own armed agents to arrest parents who speak out against the school board’s policies, according to Christopher Rufo in the City Journal.

you live in a dream world. I grew up with a guy who has been a sheriff deputy for the last 18 years. He is a conservative and is pro 2nd amendment but he’s made it clear that he understands that the police do not have the full picture when they are ordered to make an arrest or serve a warrant. They generally just do what they are told to do, make the arrest, and process the booking when they bring the arrestee to the county jail. Its not their job to care about the legalities, its the Prosecutors job to tell them whether they can hold the arrestee or not. He even told me that ultimately, he and his fellow deputies are only looking to get home to their families safely at the end of the day.
Exactly.
And mask mandates are banned in Texas. Get those jack-booted thugs on that as well.
That’s about what I’ve concluded. I don’t have a vote though...
The GOP must have known about the leftists running for the RRISD school board years ago, as they weaseled their way in. The GOP apparently never ran any opposing candidates. We’ve got to start running candidates and winning. It’s no good, no point, in suing these rent-a-cops, we’ve got to be in the position of power to get rid of them altogether. We have to be the ones in control and we can do it -— run for school board, river authority, any elective position at the county and municipal level and shame and harass the local county GOP into helping.
I can’t be a precinct committeeman but what I have done is research every elective position in my county, with the names and photos of everybody on the school board and various county positions. This isn’t doxing, it’s on their website. I’ve made up a little booklet of them all -— and there are many!! -— to give out to anybody running for small local offices.
It’s a small thing but many people thinking about running are met with this confusing tangle of offices, river authorities, water boards, community college boards, school boards and on and on -— and this little booklet will help them. It took hours of work but I did it. It’s printed out and ready to go. At least I can do that. Next I will go to the county Republican party meeting just to listen and learn. The Democrats have done all this years and years ago, we have a lot of catch-up to do but we can do it.
good way to get shot
Watched a video of a rally for back the blue. ANTIFA attacked them and the cops let them
You could NOT have posted that with a straight face!
For those from outside the state, Texas school police officers have arrest authority on campus and carry firearms if they are “peace officers.”
Everyone here should notice that when these men were arrested at home, the local sheriff’s department was involved.
Thus, there is not only a problem with governance and accountability at the school board level, but also at the level of the Williamson County Sheriff. Both the Board and Sheriff Mike Gleason need to be promoted to the private sector in their next election - but that’s up to the parents and other voters in Williamson County.
RRISD has it’s own police force, Rufo said, explaining: “with a three-layer chain of command, patrol units, school resource officers, a detective, and a K-9 unit.”
Looks to Me like someone can’t count ⬆️ I read 4 “layers”.
Good call to change court/trial venue.
If it is an illegal arrest a competent lawyer will do much more damage than shooting. If it was a legal arrest, and you live, you could be looking at life or a death penalty. Besides, you can’t outrun Motorola.
Actually the Williamson County sheriffs do wear brown.
Yup
Happened in Denver twice. Lee Keltner was murdered the 2nd time.
This raises interesting jurisdiction questions.
We have a POS wimpy governor! This is one reason the fake mexican has a very good chance of winning. Texans are very disillusioned with Abbott.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Where is Governor Abbott?
I’ve been asking that for months. And, I’m IN TX!
There are few situations so bad they can’t be made worse by the addition of a cop.
They do exist, however, and then you really, really want a cop or cops.

This needs to be deleted, the whole article is BS. The RR school district does not have it’s own law enforcement. From what I can tell these two men disrupted a meeting to the point charges were filed and a warrant was issued by I suspect the County Judge and the warrants were handled by the Sheriff’s Department.
From your link….
KXAN has asked both Round Rock ISD and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office why a warrant was issued for the two men instead of a citation. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office referred us to the RRISD Police Department even though court documents show the sheriff’s office was the arresting agency. A spokesperson for Round Rock ISD did not answer that question but did confirm the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office was the arresting agency.
