Brian Laundrie, the sole suspect in the death of Long Island native Gabby Petito, died of a gunshot wound to the head, a lawyer for the Laundrie family said Tuesday.

I never cared that much about this story and the fascination with it when there were so many far more consequential things in the news.
I am sorry for the young lady and she obviously did not deserve this but decisions have consequences and living some kind of online “van life” or whatever this was with a young man outside of marriage is not likely to end well.
The media covered this story more than Afghanistan. If we are going to mourn murder or feign outrage about it the little kids senselessly gunned down in Chicago are far more worthy of our emotion.

I heard something more interesting a while ago on the radio.
A gun was missing from the home. The attorney (that everyone hates) said they didn’t want some vigilante manhunt going on in the park. If they told everyone Brian was armed, they worried people would freak out and people would arm up and go looking for him themselves. This was part of the reason they remained quiet.
So, all those who predicted Brian was in Mexico, the AT, etc, still look just as foolish.
It looks like he came home, got the gun and went out and shot his self. Animals probably moved the body or parts away from the actual site.

Saying he died from a gunshot wound to the head is a long way from stating he shot himself.
did they ever retrieve a gun?....wouldn't put it past this wretched family to have shot him so he wouldn't have to do it....
