Dismissing the claims of such a military offensive against Ukraine, Peskov said the US "created hysteria" in order to conduct NATO operations in the Black Sea.

Just a day after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Washington and Europe have "real concerns" about Russian military buildup at the Ukrainian border, as per the “rhetoric we have been seeing and hearing from Russia and on social media,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Sunday accused the United States of “artificial hysteria" for suggesting that Moscow might invade Ukraine that has escalated regional tensions.

His remarks come after earlier yesterday, the head of Ukraine’s defence intelligence agency told Military Times in an interview that Russia has more than 92,000 troops concentrated on the Ukrainian border and was going to attack Kyiv by the end of January or beginning of February via airstrikes, artillery, and armour attacks. It will make an incursion into Ukraine via neighbouring Belarus, Ukraine Brig. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov told the outlet.

'We are being accused by those who bring their military forces on our land,' says Russia

Deep state needs a war. Gotta keep the military industrial complex well-fed and give President Brandon a nice distraction from his destruction of America.

How do we know the truth? We can’t. There is no one honest enough to find out and tell the truth. The Deep State wants a war and Russia has it’s own agenda.

But with the war in Afghanistan basically over for now I was expecting a new hot spot to “magically” rear its ugly head. I don’t think Russia benefits from a war here. The Pentagon sure does. Just a guess.

Absolutely, just as we never got the truth about the supposed use of chemical weapons in Syria. Our foreign policy is not about protecting the US or its interests. It’s about making some people rich.

Yeah, why would anyone worry about Russia invading Ukraine and claiming their country?

Oh, they do this on a fairly regular basis?

Biden needs a distraction from his domestic disasters.

Whenever a liberal like Blincken states he has “real concerns” about anything, its almost certain nothing definitive or effective will be done. Get ready for a sternly written letter and some agitated posturing. The Ukrainians are fools if they expect anything real from the Biden cabal.

Interestingly enough I didn’t actually hear of a Russian invasion threat for 4 years. All the proof you actually need that this is deep state propaganda. Trump made it very clear that he wanted no part in confrontation but that he was willing to go all in if pushed and things were quiet. I will never believe it’s thr contention isn’t a deep state op after the last 4 years.

The underlying issue here is that the Russian nationalists want to recreate the Soviet Empire. They believe it is their ‘manifest destiny’ to take back and control all of the countries that were once under the domination of the USSR.

And what really underlies the above is the fact that Russia is no longer a superpower and too many of their people including Putin are butthurt about this fact. Yes, they have nukes but the majority of their nuclear arsenal no longer functions.

Most people don’t understand that nuclear weapons require frequent maintenance and periodic overhauls to keep them functioning. Russia no longer has the resources or manufacturing capability to maintain their nukes.

The real irony of this is that the Russians depended on the Ukrainian factory at Kalynivka for critical nuclear components and the idiots sabotaged the factory destroying that capacity. Thus at least four generations of Soviet and post Soviet nukes were rendered functionally obsolete.

I am unaware of the Russians building this manufacturing capacity domestically so it may be a matter of time before Russia is down to a scant few, if any, nuclear weapons.

When that happens you can absolutely count on China to seize control of Eastern Russia.

And no one in the West will come to Russia’s rescue.

Describing Russia as a feeble military is doing nothing for the argument that they are a threat. Which begs the question, who is trying to whip everyone into a frenzy. As a matter of fact, if your assessment is accurate, Russia is the only country in the region who has anything to worry about in the near term (not that I am accepting your assessment as absolute fact).
