A Penn State student and former high school cheerleader fell 11 stories to her death in a trash chute — after allegedly having a bad reaction to a “smoke.”
The body of 19-year-old Justine Gross of Summit, NJ, was discovered last week when a trash hauler emptied its load at a Pennsylvania landfill, her mother told NJ.com on Thursday.
Francoise Gross said her daughter, a communications sophomore at the school in State College, Pa., ended up plunging from the chute into a dumpster where she lived at the Beaver Terrace Apartments about a block from campus.
The shattered mom said Justine’s roommates told her that her daughter had met a young man two days earlier who gave her a “smoke” before the fatal fall.

Sounds to me that she had a bad reaction to whatever drug was in the “smoke” Charge the a**hole how gave it to her with dealing drugs.
It takes some work to get yourself into a garbage chute. There has to be more to this story.
Seems she was trying to hide from a drugging rapist.
Thank God the trash collector found her body. The chances were high that her body could have gone to the dump and never been found.
“He said, kind of casually, ‘She came down and I gave her a smoke,’” Francoise said. “He said she had a really bad reaction, a panic or whatever, and he was trying to take her back to her apartment on the 10th floor.”
Yeah right.
A male student died at the The College of NJ in 2006. His blood was found in the dorm’s trash compactor and his body in a landfill.
A mentally ill man confessed to killing him but there was not enough evidence to charge him.

Drugs involved for sure. Do an autopsy. Stat!
That’s my take on it.
She fell into a trash chute?!
Something about this story doesn’t smell right!
My thoughts, too.
What a waste she is sofa king hot
No freakin’ way. A typical trash chute door is only maybe 2ft by 2ft.
Typically it’s located in a small closet like room off a hallway, you don’t see them in the hallway of a building where someone can just pop it open and jump in.
It would take a bit of effort to cram yourself into it.
This whole thing stinks.
It's usually on an armature that closes tight , not just to avoid odors but it closes tight as a fire safety measure.
There was a crime committed here.
