German leaders on Thursday agreed tough new curbs on the unvaccinated, with plans to shut them out of restaurants, sporting events and cultural shows as the country battles to halt a record rise in Covid infections.
With new cases soaring to an all-time high of 65,371, leaders of Germany's 16 states agreed after crisis talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel to require those not immunised to provide negative tests in order to use public transport or go to the office.
To protect the most vulnerable, they also agreed to introduce compulsory vaccination for healthcare workers and employees in elderly homes.
"We need to quickly put a brake on the exponential rise" in cases and intensive care bed occupancy, Merkel said, calling the situation "highly dramatic".
Unvaccinated people will be banned from certain public spaces in areas with a hospitalisation rate of more than three patients per 100,000 people over the past seven days.
The so-called "2G" rule -- allowing in only the vaccinated and the recovered -- will apply to large events as well as leisure and sports facilities.
Areas with a hospitalisation rate of more than six will have to introduce a "2G plus" rule, where participants will need to be tested as well as vaccinated, and regions with a rate over nine will have to introduce extra measures such as contact restrictions.

Kind of funny that Sweden, which minimized restrictions and kept (8th grade and lower) schools open is NOT having a surge. Lots of natural immunity in Sweden!
Remember, ‘it is a pandemic of the unvaxxed’. Like 1930s Germany, a scapegoat is needed. As Israel would be a ‘a tough nut to crack’, the ‘unvaxxed’ easily fill that role. It is 1933 all over again, except, instead of just Germany, it is (mostly) WORLD WIDE!

The problem with centralization, the big “staat” that has a “Gewaltmonopol,” is that you are a subject in such a system, you are only as safe and free as some buerocrat decides you are.
Freedom and your security is at the benevolence of the leaders in charge. But they can change the rules at any time, take things as far as they want, because you don’t really have any rights, and you don’t really have any way to do anything about it.
However, the US isn’t far behind. We have mostly become like that too.
Further east, South Korea has one of the highest vax rates in the world - 77% - but is in the throes of a Covid “spike” that has lasted more than four months, with no signs of abating. Cases are averaging about double - triple on some days - what they were pre-vax, and deaths are also higher than during the pre-vax period.
Are the unvaccinated in Germany suppose to wear a yellow CROSS OR STAR OF DAVID ON THEIR CLOTHING?
I have news for them, this so called vaccine, DOESN’T WORK. What part of that doesn’t anyone understand?
They have a better understanding of natural immunity than we do.
