On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) stated that while the White House and Democrats believe the Build Back Better reconciliation bill will be fully paid for, the Congressional Budget Office might think differently. Clyburn said that if they do, “they’re the experts, we’ll be guided by what they say,” “Even the president’s not an expert in CBO scoring standards,” and that CBO analysis takes into account things that Congressional or White House analysis might miss.
Clyburn stated the White House and Democrats promised that the bill will be paid for. He continued, “Now, we don’t know what the CBO will determine. We have determined that it will be paid for. We have determined that no taxes will be raised on anybody under $400,000 a year. We have determined that we will raise taxes on more wealthy people to pay for it. Now, if CBO comes back and has some other determination, that’s something we’ll have to deal with at the time. But they’re the experts, we’ll be guided by what they say, but that’s not what we think.”

Is Clyburn in a district/state that can flip?
.
CBO - Bureaucrats who always come in 3-5 times less Programs end up costing,
Take what they say and multiply it by Four.
Atrocious track record.

Brandon Xiden can’t put is socks on the right feet!
IOW: “Had to pass it to find out what is in it”.
Clyburn is basically saying that, the CBO can have its say, but that Biden and democrats will listen but, Biden and Pelosi and Schumer will still spend the trillions. Budget and CBO score don’t count, as far as democrats are concerned.
To quote Hilary, “what difference does it make?” The bill is signed into law and who cares what CBO says.
Hey folks, the president does not have a clue about lots of things. CBO scoring standards?…Give me a break!
Also, they claim that these brand new wasteful programs are only funded for 3-5 years. Government programs are never ended, the cost needs to be converted to per year and multiplied out for the entire 10 year budget process.
Clyburn has the IQ of a grapefruit.
living dangerously
That’s going to leave a mark.
Once they get agreement the bill is no good they will make a few small changes to buy a couple of votes and pass it.
Wait, they just did that.
They aren’t “experts” at anything, yet the voters have kept them in Washington DC for like 100 years.
Desperately backtracking to get the rodents’ head out of Brandon’s noose.
“Is Clyburn in a district/state that can flip?”
Clyburn is in the kind of black district that when he dies, they will still be voting for him.
Exactly, No one will report on it.
No way
The way the CBO is set up they can only use the data and premise given to them by Congress. That means if the Dems give them data that reads " the in six months five trillion dollars will rain down from heaven" the CBO must include that number.
Garbage in, garbage out.
.
Yes, absolutely!
