The jury in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse asked Judge Bruce Schroeder in the Kenosha County Court on Wednesday morning whether it should view video evidence in court or in private, prompting the judge to quip: “My nightmare has come true.”
The judge was referring to controversies over the video evidence presented by the prosecution during the trial, including whether zoomed-in images enhanced by artificial intelligence were admissible, and whether the prosecution withheld a higher resolution version of a video than the version that had been provided to the defense until the last day of the trial.

Doesn’t that violate the evidence chain of custody laws?
It is the judge’s nightmare because he knows what he should do, but appears to be too scared to do it.
No one knows where it came from, which is a problem in and of itself. T
it is known now
100% correct
Every evidence ruling has good reasons for going either way and sometimes a Judge has to figure out the best way to deal with a pile of dog excrement. The Judge was given the enhanced video late in the game it is true. Laid ontop of that, there was the enhanced image. He decided on the side of giving it to the jury, without a reopening of the evidence, because the case went in on the assumption the high Def video did not exist. The defense tried their case based upon the non-existence of this evidence. They gave a right to make strategy decisions based upon the evidence. Closing arguments have already been made. The submission of evidence part of the trial is over. The nightmare is that the jury learned from the media that there is a new high resolution video. And they have asked for it. So you either keep it out, or let it in, and give the right to offer new evidence and more closing arguments, which is a total mess.
They’re both just blurry figures.
Yes, he has. He’s barely 18 and more composure than all of them combined.
This would be a good time to throw out the “unicorn video”,
***Can the judge do that? “The jury will disregard that remark -—> video”.
This is as complicated as Judge Ito instructing the jury in OJ’s trial that, just because Mark Furman committed perjury, doesn’t mean you can’t believe him.
Judge shouldn’t have let it in—it was already suspect b/c the prosecution hadn’t given it to the defense
+1
Where did it come from?
I think the judge should do just that. Then, after KR is a free man, hire him as a bodyguard.
“Why a nightmare for the judge? Maybe I am missing something?”
He admitted very dubious evidence that he knew was dubious.
This is not good news for Rittenhouse. If the jury is looking at this closely, it means they are taking the prosecutions bogus provocation argument seriously.
They should have laughed it out of court when they saw a video that has been doctored that you cannot make sense of even then.
Yep, that is definitely Sasquatch.
The judge knows that his family, and the families of the jurors, will be in danger if the jury doesn’t vote “correctly”. And there’s no way that the jurors don’t know that as well. That’s why Rittenhouse will be convicted of *something*...it’s just a question of what.
That person should have been the one who introduced the video into evidence, not some state hired photoshopper. The state pulled a fast one, the defense didn’t object, and the judge just rubber stamped it. In a MURDER trial. Unreal.
The nightmare is that the jury learned from the media that there is a new high resolution video.
***That’s a mistrial right there. Judges always tell the juries not to look at press treatments of the trial until after they give the verdict. Maybe that’s the nightmare the judge is talking about.
How about Lucas McCain?
How about the Cartwrights?
It's time for life to imitate art and show the people of Kenosha that law enforcement will do the right thing.
It's time for the good people of Kenosha to form a citizen militia and protect the courthouse from a lynch mob to let the wheels of justice turn unhindered.

The city/state let things get out of hand in 2020 and are doing so now. These “protestors’ know there will be no consequences so they keep doing it.
