The jury in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse asked Judge Bruce Schroeder in the Kenosha County Court on Wednesday morning whether it should view video evidence in court or in private, prompting the judge to quip: “My nightmare has come true.”
The judge was referring to controversies over the video evidence presented by the prosecution during the trial, including whether zoomed-in images enhanced by artificial intelligence were admissible, and whether the prosecution withheld a higher resolution version of a video than the version that had been provided to the defense until the last day of the trial.

This whole thing is already such a fustercluck, I do believe that any appeal by Kyle should succeed, WITH AN HONEST COURT, which is uncertain.
Good point. But a smartphone as a gateway for information from the world is so ubiquitous that asking people to put it down just because they are jurors is not realistic. Let's say a lawyer argues that evidence should be admitted because it is part of the res gesture, and just like anyone would in real life, they Google "res gestae." Does the juror get booted for that? And then you give the lawyers another tool to skew the composition of the sitting jury to their side? So maybe if you become a juror, all of your page views and conversations with anybody should be recorded? This is why this type of instruction, as much of a good and effective safeguard it is, is becoming to be viewed as an anachronism.

This “footage” is in color and clearly from a different angle than that of the overhead IR video.

Grosskreutz said that Kyle didn’t shoot him until he pointed the gun at Kyle

The judge was hoping to avoid making difficult decisions about certain evidence.

Any jury in any trial that is getting this much publicity should be sequestered, probably for the entire trial. Too much money? Too bad, a person’s freedom is at stake. Our ENTIRE justice system is supposed to protect the rights of THE ACCUSED.
Or, cheaper solution, ban media coverage. Pretty much the entire MSM deserves the electric chair at this point anyway. They are the ones who are most determinedly working to destroy this country.
Dismiss the case Friday afternoon. This way they burn the city down without people worrying about going to the office.

To hell with the mob. Do not declare a riot, declare an insurrection and use the full weight of military force. Tell the 500 NG troops already called up to lock and load, and fix bayonets. Call up additional NG troops such as an infantry or armor battalion (or both) and deal with these terrorists with an iron fist.
