As Americans battle soaring gasoline and natural gas prices alongside skyrocketing heating bills, President Joe Biden wants nobody to worry because on Wednesday he will unveil his vision for a green electric future.
All it requires is billions of taxpayer dollars to fund electric vehicle (EV) chargers across the country alongside zero-emissions electric cars and trucks of every size imaginable. In 10-15 years time. Perhaps.
Biden will visit a General Motors plant in Detroit that manufactures electric vehicles to outline his grand Build Back Better green plan to get drivers out of gasoline-powered cars, AP reports.
He’ll use the occasion to promise the $7.5 billion in the new infrastructure law for electric vehicle chargers will help America get “off the sidelines” on green-energy manufacturing, repeating a pledge to go electric he made in 2020 during the presidential campaign.

The enviro-wackos will not allow any more nuke plants to be built, after the TMI, Chernobyl and Fukashima incidents. It’s have to be coal and gas fired power; most likely gas, though we have enough ‘clean’ coal to last 100+ years.

I can’t afford a new or barely used vehicle and there will never be any such thing as an old used electric vehicle.

Our local news source had a hoopla celebration of some electric recharging stations going in.
I mentioned that those stations will get their power from the local COAL FIRED POWER PLANT and a local NATURAL GAS power plant.
So those electric cars will actually run on coal and natural gas.

If we switch to electric cars only, and “green energy” only, we will be out of electricity all the time.

If oil wasn’t used to build EVs they would be too heavy to drive, range would be too low. Even with oil used they weigh noticeably more than their IC counterparts.
Weight causes more road wear, see trucks. EVs should be taxed more because they wear out roads faster than ICE cars.

It takes exactly 2 minutes and 53 seconds to put 22 gallons of gas in my Ram 1500 Hemi. That will take me over 400 miles. Offer a half ton electric pickup that will do that at a competitive price and I might consider it otherwise, not interested.

How many minutes will you expect to have to wait in line for your turn at the charging station? Existing gas stations will have to be replaced with the charging stations. How long will that take and who pays for that? How long will it take for a “used car market” to develop for those who cannot afford the new e-car prices?
At the current age of 90, driving a 87 Chrysler Fifth Ave, I am glad that I won’t have to contend with what you folks will have to live through in the not too distant future. Today you are CITIZENS of the USA. When all this new stuff happens, you will then be a SUBJECT of the United Socialist States of America which will be a member of the One World Govt, with BHO or AOC being the Chairman of this entity. EVs are not ZERO EMISSIONS….they just spew their crap elsewhere from point of use…they are not green unless painted green…
