Cornyn says GOP might not run someone against Sinema in 2024

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) suggested that Republicans may not run anyone to oppose Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) when she comes up for reelection in 2024.

Cornyn, who is considered a potential successor to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), said he "would be surprised if Republicans tried to unseat her" if she runs for a second term, according to Politico.

Politico added that Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.) has repeatedly asked Sinema to join the GOP.

I started that, and there was a whole bunch of stuff that had nothing to do with Sinema. I wish people making videos would just get to the freaking point. Kind of disappointing, really, because I was looking forward to seeing what she said, and when she said it. I know that she was a complete whack job when she was younger.

I would be shocked if Cornyn is correct anyway -- there absolutely will be a GOP opponent for Sinema in 2024.
