House GOP eyes probes of Afghan pullout, Fauci, Hunter Biden if they win back majority (Jim Jordan)
The Washington Times ^ | Nov 17 | By Kerry Picket

House Republicans, who are increasingly confident they will take back the majority next year, say they will launch tough oversight investigations of the Biden administration and hold accountable Democratic lawmakers who abused majority rule against GOP members.

Republicans told The Washington Times they will launch a series of committee investigations including digging into the Justice Department’s coordination with the White House to investigate parents protesting their school boards, the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and issues related to Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son.

Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, ran down a list of issues he would like to hit should Republicans get the gavels after next year’s elections.

“Thousands of Americans’ tax returns were made public. We better figure out how that happened,” he said, referencing the disclosure of a trove of tax records of America’s wealthiest people that was somehow obtained by the nonprofit investigative journalism outlet ProPublica.

He also had Mr. Biden’s chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, in his sights.

“Dr. Fauci misled the country for over a year and a half. We need to figure out how that happened and what, what took place with the virus,” he said.

Republicans on the Oversight Committee also want to investigate issues concerning first son Hunter Biden’s artwork that has sold for six figures to unknown buyers.

I must admit it'll be great to see Rep. Jim Jordan chair the judiciary committee.

A breath of fresh air compared to the establishment types who usually get it.

Yes! Probes, followed by strongly worded letters! When America needs chemotherapy, the GOP offers us an aspirin. Wake up people. Both sides suk hard.

I didn’t see impeachment in there. Not that it would work. But that didn’t stop the Rats from doing it to Trump in 2018.

I know you hate the GOP but not all bad..

A handful (literally, for now) are OK in my book...

Jordan I like to think is one of the good guys. Time will tell.

Serious Trey Gowdy vibes from Jordan.

I don’t think he’s who we may have thought he was.

If I can get justice for the Afghanistan withdrawal crimes, I’ll be forever grateful.

A lot of us spent years of our lives there for that fiasco of a withdrawal to price it was a waste.

We all wanted out of Afghanistan. But not like that. Not like we were running away.

I spent nearly four years of my life there killing Taliban, and now the white house looks to normalize relations with them.

What was it all for?

The rallying cry should be for impeachment/conviction of both Biden & Harris for their malfeasance followed by prosecution for election fraud.

And I could give two figs about investigations. We need to start closing some of these agencies down entirely and letting the states handle the issues.

This is a republic, after all.

I don’t think he’s (Jordan) who we may have thought he was

He has an excellent memory and can recite every element of the Russian collision hoax when the TV camera goes on, but he has yet to explain why he voted for Paul Ryan for Speaker or his light touch on the CEOs of Facebook, Google, Amazon and Apple when they were cornered on antitrust issues.

The investigations I most want to see:

The 2020 election - how widespread was the fraud? Probe all aspects.

Ashley Babbit - open up the records of the capital police. Thoroughly investigate her murder and the coverup of the guilt of the murder Michael Byrd.

Political corruption in the FBI - everything from lying to FISA courts, altering evidence, spying on the Trump campaign, setting up Michael Flynn, raiding Project Veritas journalists and illegally leaking privileged attorney client information to the NY Times, the refusal to investigate Hunter Biden’s laptop, the refusal to investigate Hunter Biden lying on a 4470 to illegally obtain a firearm and the illegal disposal of said firearm, the targeting of parents opposed to CRT being taught to their kids in school as “domestic terrorists” and the lack of investigation or prosecution of Klantifa/Burn Loot Murder terrorists for the riots and murders they committed last summer.

An investigation into the lack of prosecution for various people from former FBI and CIA directors for the felony of lying to Congress during the Trump-Russia Collusion hoax.

An investigation into Adam Schiff and others for illegally leaking classified information to the media during the Trump-Russia collusion hoax.

There’s a start.

Please don’t take my comments personally, rather they are an attempt to focus people to the dire position we are in. We’re losing our country and any excitement some have at the thought of Republicans (except Trump) reversing our decline is lost on me. We gave Newt everything nearly 30 years ago and we are immeasurably worse off now. Since Speaker Newt Republicans have had Pedo Hastert, Drunk’in Boehner and Globalist Paul Ryan. Are you saying Kevin McCarthy will save America? I’m not seeing it.

Obviously we are going to have to shut the FBI completely down and rebuild it with honest people!! It could take years to root out all the crooks in there!!

Yes. Move the Marshals in to replace them. This is an example of the tough medicine America needs, not committee assignments and press conferences.

Yep, and then you will see multitudes of bad guys being brought before congress, lawyers filing briefs, appeals and re-appeals, and if/when they go before congress the punishment is a strongly worded letter of congressional disapproval that goes into the file.

Unless people go to jail, like the January 6 'insurrectionists' for ten months without bail, where is the justice?
