Am I alone in hoping this is their “Welcoming gift” from Afghanistan?

Somebody’s pissed.

The pace of heavy construction means there are supplies
of explosives all over the country. There are many instances
of explosives used in revenge attacks.
It’s not something they would want spread around.
Some people might get ideas.

RE: What was shown in this video was a storefront explosion, maybe natural gas or a bomb.

OK, let’s accept that for now, but why :

1) Are they occurring everywhere in China?

2) Have they occurred within a week ?

We have not heard too much about the conflict between the Han Chinese (the dominant ethnic group in the PRC) and the Islamic central Asian Uighurs...

First thing that occurred to me is that some of the Uighurs might be getting tired of the Hans trying to eradicate their culture, history, heritage, and religion. Might be getting tired of having whole communities getting sent to concentration camps too... People are somewhat motivated to violence when they are on the bad side of a genocide.

It is ABSOLUTELY possible that some of the Taliban might be motivated (religiously) to help out their Uighur “brothers in faith” at the expense of their desire (politically) to preserve the PRC’s logistics...

Considering the abysmal state of China’s infrastructure and their incompetent shoddy workmanship it’s most likely these are industrial accidents, gas leaks, etc. Seriously. If you’ve seen videos of people touring China on motorcycles and such the state of the infrastructure is just plain awful. Most Chinese building would be condemned if they were transplanted into any American city. Even Detroit.

The concrete is totally inferior and not rebarred. Buildings just a few years old collapse regularly.

Good questions.

I don’t know if they even use natural gas in China, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are 10 natural gas explosions in a week in the US. They’re just not reported as if they’re connected.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are bombs, either. There must be a lot of repressed, marginalized, pissed off people in the PRC. If some of them have decided to roll over onto the offensive, more power to them.

I had never heard of WIONS:

Who We Are

We are a team of seasoned and daring, young journalists of diverse nationalities. World is One, WION, examines global issues with in-depth analysis. Using our social media platforms we open the conversation about our world with our users. We provide much more than the news of the day. Our aim to empower people to explore their world. With our Global headquarters in New Delhi, we bring you news on the hour, by the hour.

We deliver information that is not biased. We are journalists who are neutral to the core and non-partisan when it comes to the politics of the world. People are tired of biased reportage and we stand for a globalised united world. So for us the World is truly One.

Unbiased news from the New Delhi, the capital city of the country that is continuously at war with Communist China.   Hopefully, the explosions are from Indian cruise missiles.

I don't like the fact that these journalists are one worlders.

OK, how about this report? Did the explosions occur or not? That’s all I want to know.

If anyone is morally capable of justifying the destruction of the Three Gorges Dam, it’s the Taliban. I don’t think any nation-State would want that kind of civilian slaughter on their hands

One reason why the Egyptians got so nice in the late 70’s...

Some one in their government realized that even if they could “drive the joooos into the sea” someday, one IDF F-4 with couple of 2,000 lb bombs on the Aswan... No nukes, no chems, no germs... just one country’s people disappearing into the Med in a couple of hours...
