I’m not in fafor of government setting the prices but it’s kind of funny to have ostensible America Firsters defending US consumers subsidizing the rest of the world’s drugs.
It’s all about killing off the ‘useless eaters’ and elders, who are generally, more conservative than the younger generations.
You would think getting the right medicine is the only concern but it looks to be kickbacks.
Like product placement on a store shelf.
In France the government sets a suggested price for each new drug.
These are mere suggestions.
A drug company can refuse to accept the government suggested price and sell directly to consumers at market pricing.
If the drug company accepts the government suggested price, then insurers must cover the drug and pay the government suggested price.
