Few people get a chance to really stand up and make a difference. When Biden dump the border into her lap she had two choice, 1) run away and hide hoping it would go away or 2) Look at the problem, determine the cause and fix it.
Since the crisis was created by Biden it means she would have had to stand up against the President and order the border closed and to send anyone that crosses back across the border.
She would have taken heat but, and here is where a strong leader shines, she could have stood up to the pressure and make her case to the American people.
If she had done that (or something similar) she would not have the lowest approval rating in history!
She had her chance and she showed the American people she is not ready for prime time.
No doubt everyone is frustrated now but Harris laughed the same way in the presidential debates which was a major reason for her dropping out.
They cant do that with kamala in the way. The black vote would be outraged.

Sshhh... Don't tell anyone. There's significant risk for Biden here. He can't select a new VP unless the old one is gone. With the old one gone, the Senate is divided 50-50. This gives a united Republican party VETO power over any new selection.
Granted, the Republicans have a penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Nevertheless, there is great risk here for resident Biden.
