Don’t be surprised to witness more verbal fireworks between former President Donald Trump and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie with the publication this week of Christie’s new book, "Republican Rescue."
The book’s subtitle, "Saving the party from truth deniers, conspiracy theorists, and the dangerous polices of Joe Biden," is a direct shot at the former president, who on a daily basis continues to re-litigate his 2020 election loss to now-President Biden as he repeatedly flirts with another White House run in 2024.
And it appears to be a major effort by Christie to spell out his vision for the GOP going forward, as the former two-term governor and 2016 Republican presidential candidate sets himself up for a potential second White House run in 2024.
"Christie reveals exactly how absurd grievances and self-inflicted wounds sabotaged Donald Trump’s many successes and allowed Democrats to capture the White House, the House, and Senate in two years—a first for the GOP since the days of Herbert Hoover," the book’s publisher writes in a preview.
"In his frank and compelling voice, Christie dissects the last year of the Trump administration—which provoked nothing but conspiracy theories and infighting—and he lays out an honest and hopeful vision, explaining how Republicans can capture the future and save America from today’s damaging Democratic excesses," the Simon and Schuster website reads.
Christie will be all over the media this week as his book releases, but his high profile comeback tour – as well as the attacks and counter attacks between the two GOP leaders who are both known for brash and assertive in-your-face politics -- kicked off last weekend.

No. H*** No!
Conspiracy theorist = thinking American
By all means vote fat and stupid.
Need to stick with outsiders. Establishment GOP “compromises” our majorities and principles away.
Trump needs to pass the torch. We need to primary all establishment out of office. R need to become by the People, for the People again.
I’m tired of the fastest and most guaranteed way of becoming a millionaire is to get elected to congress.
Meanwhile, everything Trump said has come true. For four years , promises made, promises kept. Oil independence, peace in the middle east, low gas prices, low taxes.
I feel bad for the chair.
How would he know that the election was legitimate?
He’ll need lots of money, luck, and a cabal ready to commit electoral fraud.
Paul Ryan is almost exclusively at fault for the lose of the House. That’s even considering the fact that the party out of power (in this case the Dems) usually do well during the mid-terms.
Republicans will probably do well next year but if they are just Anti-Trumpers (democrats) then they will lose again. Voters aren’t going to deal with do-nothing republicans after we had Trump who at the very least fought back.
Chris Christie is simply too fat to be revenant and being wishy-washy doesn’t fly anymore.
Being fairly wealthy, he’s probably got the titanium version.
Ann Coulter lost me when she had a crush on Christie. He would collaborate with the Democrats seconds after taking office.
2 weeks to flatten the curve. Trump was good, not perfect.
Phhft. He’s going nowhere.
He has....to himself. And "I" am all in favor and hope he has VERY LONG coat-tails....
Ann loved Romney at one point too. I do still read her occasionally, and it’s usually good, but I can never get past Romney and Christie.
