Twitter Has a Dirty Little Secret: Very Few People Care What Happens to Censored Tweets.
PJ Media ^ | 11/13/2021 | Stephen Green

Twitter has a dirty little secret, something CEO Jack Dorsey and his hundreds of millions of users — some of whom might even be real — don’t want you to know.

Nobody cares what happens on Twitter.

When I say “nobody,” I don’t mean people like you, gentle reader, who were probably too smart to ever get involved on the pond-scum platform. I don’t even mean people like myself, who fell in love with Twitter in its early days, but who finally quit when the oppressive Woke nonsense got to be too much.

When I say “nobody cares what happens on Twitter” I’m talking about the actual people — seriously, I’m assured some of them are probably real — who use Twitter.

To explain what I mean, you’ll need a little background.

Three weeks ago, my PJ Media friend and colleague Matt Margolis was suspended from Twitter for linking to his own VIP column stating that assistant secretary for Health and pretend four-star admiral Rachel Levine is male.

Matt refused to remove the “offending” tweet and the logjam between him and Twitter remains unchanged, three weeks later.

I couldn’t be more proud of Matt for standing his ground.

I also couldn’t be more proud of our managing editor, Paula Bolyard, for taking Matt’s side and provoking an even bigger fight with Dorsey and his digital flash-mob goons. “When Matt tweeted out his article,” Paula wrote a week after Matt’s lock-out, “his Twitter account was promptly locked. When PJ Media tweeted it out shortly thereafter, our official account was also locked.”

And so things still stand, two weeks later.

True. I think twitter jumped the shark when trump left. It’s meaningless now

I remember when Twitter first became a thing and Hugh Hewitt was writing on Townhall that all of us should follow him on Twitter.

I responded that I am not a twit and I will not be tweeting or following anyone as fake as Hewitt.

Many of us don't care what happens on or to Twitter, period.

(Count me among 'those who were probably too smart to ever get involved on the pond-scum platform.')

Hugh Hewitt jumped the shark and landed in the doghouse when he joined in with the leftist mob that set out to ruin the life of Nicholas Sandman, the teenage victim of harassment by left-wing thugs.

I can’t stand the format of Twitter.

Cancelled my account about a year and a half ago. No desire whatsoever to use it.

Never had an account on TWATTER or F#CKBOOK, never will.

I just don’t understand some peoples urgent NEED to plaster their PUBLIC and PRIVATE lives all over the interne and the world, do they need recognition-confirmation-substantiation-validation of their lives.

If so that just proves that their lives are pointless and without meaning.

Just my opinion, but it works for me.

Twitter uses analytics from tons of different research that cause basic serotin hits. That’s why the threads are pseudo randomly in the order they are

I thought Hewitt jumped the shark slamming FairTax and his fawning support of Romney. Stopped listening to Hugh back then..

Twitter stock is down some 35% from its 1 year high, while the overall market including the Nasdaq is at or near all time highs. That should tell us something.

Some people may love it, but its heavy-handed policies are a glaring flaw in its business model. Yes, it has become an echo chamber but much worse than that. When it just becomes a mechanism to express propaganda and suppress debate, it is no longer interesting and generates its own obsolescence.

Hewitt has always been a Bush League Republican cheerleader.

He and Medved tried to convince us we should support the 2006 amnesty attempt.

I was commenting over at Townhall at the time and called them out as fake conservatives way back then.

I’ve been banned twice from Twitter, for nothing more than saying things that hurt the leftists’ tender little feelings, but are true. And I no longer care, because Twitter represents everything that’s wrong about the internet.

There’s this little gold nugget in the article: Jack Dorsey is our American Rasputin — a charlatan and a hanger-on whose work soothes the troubled minds of a corrupt (and ultimately doomed) ruling class.

Well done, Stephen Green.
