A school board in Oregon that recently banned teachers from displaying symbols including those supporting gay pride and Black Lives Matter has abruptly fired the superintendent, apparently for failing to enforce the new policy.
Superintendent Joe Morelock was fired in a 4-3 vote by the conservative majority of the Newberg School Board on Tuesday night, learning his fate during a public meeting over Zoom.
The conservatives who sealed Morelock's fate refused to comment on their vote. An earlier meeting had been held in private, but topics discussed have not been released.

In my state, matters involving legal, real estate, and personell can be discussed in private in executive session, but any policy or purchases must be voted upon in open session of the legislative body involves. This is likely what happened here. Executive session discussions are generally not made public, and the open session vote speaks for itself.

Newberg is hardly “in Portland”.
No, it’s not. Misleading headline, but the story is from a UK paper, after all. I wouldn’t expect some Daily Mail writer to know Yamhill County from Multnomah County.
we made a little inroad in our local school board...the incumbant even put up billboards and had signs and mail outs as well....but she lost, boo hoo....
time to let the school board know who's the boss.

Newbery is not only some distance away (closer, admittedly than the above two cities, but things are a little closer together in Oregon, but not remotely like Europe), it has strong Quaker roots, home of George Fox College.

The local democrats are currently trying to recall one of the Republican board members. They’re also colluding with the ACLU and teachers unions which are getting in on the legal action. These groups are pro gay pride and pro BLM.
The superintendent Morelock didn’t know what was going on in the district schools. The board and parents wanted to know the left-wing teacher and student activists, who were pasting and flying these stupid flags all over Newberg High school.
Morelock would answer: “I don’t know nuffin” which is bullshit, he was protecting his liberal buddies. The guy was a major weasel from my perspective.
These liberals get elected because we have nonpartisan elections for mayor, school board, city council, sheriff, county commissioner, judges etc etc. This has to change, voters shouldn’t be guessing at local elected leaders political affiliations.
The County hasn’t backed a Democrat for President since 1964, but you wouldn’t know it by all the liberals holding “non partisan” positions.

The GOP is badly in need of an enema to rid it of the RINO party officials. There needs to be litmus tests for candidates and intense scrutiny into of party officials before they are allowed to represent the GOP. Our party is led by myopic woke liberal psuedo intellectual pansy jackasses.
