I don’t think the pipeline should be shut down but it should definitely be strengthened/updated or replaced.A rupture of this pipeline would be devastating to the Straits of Mackinac and Lake Huron/Michigan.If you have never been to this area of the country I highly recommend it.

As far as I’m aware the endpoint of the Enbridge pipeline in in Canada, so closing it would have no effect on American gas supplies, but it would royally tick off the Canadians.
