I don’t think the pipeline should be shut down but it should definitely be strengthened/updated or replaced.A rupture of this pipeline would be devastating to the Straits of Mackinac and Lake Huron/Michigan.If you have never been to this area of the country I highly recommend it.
Well, Her Stupendosity, Empress Gretchen has stood in the way of a tunnel to replace and contain it.
Enbridge has been trying to build (they will pay for it all) a pipeline that runs in the bedrock of the straits, not thru the water as the current one does.
They had approval, but our disgusting governor and her administration won’t let it happen.
It is just dumb what the government is doing.
