Don’t be surprised if jury accepts Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse’s self-defense claim (barf alert)
Chicago S-T ^ | 6 nov 2021 | Mark Brown

Ever since the night of Aug. 25, 2020, when two people were shot dead in the streets of Kenosha and a third person seriously wounded, the question hasn’t been who did it but whether Antioch teenager Kyle Rittenhouse would get away with it.

As the first week of his murder trial came to a close, I must report that you shouldn’t be surprised if he does.

I’ve always believed it would be difficult to find 12 jurors who would agree to convict Rittenhouse of the most serious homicide charges against him if only because the case is an intersection of so many issues on which our society is hopelessly divided — race, violence, law enforcement, guns and politics.

On top of that, the evidence presented so far has mostly supported Rittenhouse’s claims of self-defense — if jurors get past the absurdity of him being there armed in the first place.

The irony is that a key element of self-defense is the reasonableness of a person’s actions

Yeah, ignore the evidence, the film, the testimony, and blame it all on "intersectionality."

Well, yea, especially when you consider the ‘A-Team’ prosecuting this national hero.

Having watched the trial proceeding, this writer has shit for brains. The biggest problem for the prosecution will be that before the shootings Kyle’s behavior was exemplary. Washing graffiti off walls, continuously asking people if they needed help and never (even during the shootings) breaking gun safety rules. For a 17 year old his discipline was just amazing. He should be found not guilty by a long shot, but who knows what a jury afraid of a riot will do. Pray for Kyle.

” if jurors get past the absurdity of him being there armed in the first place” I don’t find it absurd to arm yourself when going to provide protection against rabid arsonist, rioting, soup can throwing, anarchists. If you have made a decision to stand up against the mob, when the police forces cannot, or will not, be enough, I would find it absurd to put yourself in that situation without being armed.

So basically he’s saying that Rittenhouse’s claims of self defense are legitimate but he shouldn’t have been defending himself in the first place. We’re supposed to let the woke mobs beat us up because, racial justice, or something.

“””On top of that, the evidence presented so far has mostly supported Rittenhouse’s claims of self-defense”””

At least the media is reporting that most of the prosecution’s witness thus far have agreed with Rittenhouse’s claim of self-defense. Hopefully, the jury is listening.

The Richie McGinnis testimony destroyed the prosecution’s case when McGuinnis said: “Rosenbaum said f-—you and then grabbed for Rittenhouse’s gun.”

And the prosecution seems to be intent on destroying their own case by bringing Rosenbaum’s girlfriend on the stand to say that Rosenbaum has bipolar and had just been released that day from a hospital treating him for his disease.

And the prosecution also brought Anthony Huber’s great aunt to the stand so she could say Anthony—the skateboard attacker—was a great kid. And the prosecution even tried to open the door to discuss Huber’s character, until they realized that the skateboarder’s character was criminal.

The “intersectionality” claim is simply a means of saying that guilt and innocence are only secondary considerations. Most proggies really believe this.

Did anybody watch Sam and Saul, the two mideast dudes, whose parents own the Car Source and Car Doctor businesses?

It seemed to me that both of them were lying through their teeth and were intent on hiding their involvement.

I suspect Sam and Saul’s testimony was weird because their private attorneys had coached them on what to say and what not to say.

I don't think the prosecution is utterly incompetent-- they live in the same fantasy world as the writer, one in which giving free rein to leftist rioters is fine, but allowing someone to be armed and to defend themselves is not.

You could see it even at the pre-trial hearing when a prosecutor tried to argue that an armed man had no right to defend himself against an unarmed man as a matter of law. That's just insane. What they are really arguing is that you never have a right to bear arms, and if you do and defend yourself, you are automatically guilty of murder. That's what they really believe, and that's what their whole case is based on.

LOL! They fail to say that the PROSECUTION is still presenting their case!

Rittenhouse had absolutely no legitimate reason to be there that night

He had as much right as any person out there. How about this? If the rioters had not been out vandalizing property, setting fires, looting, and rioting, they would still be alive. If Huber and Rosenbaum hadn't tried to attack Kyle and take his firearm, and Grosskuntz hadn't drawn down on Kyle, they would all be alive.

Yeah, ignore the evidence, the film, the testimony, and blame it all on "intersectionality."

Rittenhouse being a white (& likely heterosexual) male, the wokesters consider him guilty 'by definition'...

Let's Go, Brandon!
