Microsoft’s virtual conference Ignite 2021 was all about hybrid work, metaverse and the cloud, but it opened with “land acknowledgments” to local native tribes and featured speakers describing their race and preferred pronouns.
...
Before any of that could happen, however, senior program manager Allison Weins had a ritual to perform.
“We need to acknowledge that the land where the Microsoft campus is situated was is traditionally occupied by the Sammamish, Duwamish, Snoqualmie, Suquamish, Muckleshoot, Snohomish, Tulalip, and other coast Salish people since time immemorial,” Weins said, “a people who are still continuing to honor and bring to light their amazing heritage.”
One of N reasons (where N is a very large number) why I abandoned that collection of drones years ago.
Shove it, Microsoft. Shove it deep, often, and painfully.
And your horse, too.
Shakedown be comin
Let the woketards pay
Hey, Macrolimp, you really want to impress me, give all your property back to the “natives.” All of it. The land, buildings, equipment, software, everything. Otherwise, you’re just paying lip-service.
How did those tribes acquire those lands initially? By forcing out the tribes that had lived there before.
I did like visiting Smash-a-me-falls in Washington State, very pretty area.
I heard a clip earlier and about puked. Then the speakers went on to describe themselves and their attire for the “sight challenged/deficient” listeners/attendees. If one of those folks was blind since birth, they probably have no concept of the hiss-panic guys tan slacks and blue shirt. I REALLY dislike these wokenista 💩 bags. As for “time immemorial”? Anthropology majors they aint.
I will carry my abstract and when I mention ‘my place’ I will name all the people before me that lived on it. Then mention some tribes and the buffalo and other animals that have ever set foot upon it.
Can he name one amazing thing about it?
I will be ‘inclusive’ that way.
Gates and Zuk would sell those tribes computers and Facebook like the others did liquor.
As a former Canuck and as education to my American Freepers, “First Nations” in canada have more “rights” than whites. They are provided for FREE: education, land, electricity, water and pay NO effing taxes. PLUS they receive at least a $5000 stipend from the gubmint’. Every time a new govt election comes around, these clowns bitch to the local MP (local official) to give them more $$$.
So basically dont feel sorry for these lazy assholes. This is just LIBERAL WHITE GUILT from this MS wuss..

Hey Alison, you forgot to mention that the reason that they held it was because they fought and too, it from others because they were stronger whe. They fought. So spare us the virtue signaling. Land is acquired by the stronger opponents for the most part, that is the way its a.wzys been and a,ways Will Be. If you can’t stand that, then tuck your tail and give your land back to them, and give your ear ings to them as well for having profited off land that you personally think isn’t yours. Move out of the country too if you feel, that you are an illegal invader. The rest of us will enjoy what we fought for, just as the Indians who fought and killed other tribes enjoyed the land when they controlled it.
Forcing out usually included mass murder, slavery, or both.
Well said.
sickening
The earliest DNA traces are Caucasian, not Mongoloid. The current tribes were the first instance of the Yellow Peril.
The Sammamish, Duwamish, Snoqualmie, Suquamish, Muckleshoot, Snohomish, and Tulalips people wrote the original code for Windows, but none of their tepees had windows, so they couldn’t agree on a name for the software. After that big naming brouhaha between the tribes, they shelved the entire project and it was never brought to market. Alas, that was one of the great failures of computer history.
