Congressional Progressive Caucus Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) said on Friday that it’s worth Democrats passing the party’s sweeping social spending and climate change package even if they lose the House in next year’s midterm elections.
Jayapal was asked early Friday ahead of an expected vote on the legislation if it's worth the party passing the legislation if it could help the GOP take back the House next year, just as Republicans did in 2010 following passage of the Affordable Care Act.

… because when one party taxes it’s citizens to death, BOTH parties end up with the money…
She’s probably right. Feckless Republicans cannot execute in any way to mitigate damage done by Dems. Take Obamacare, for instance, still largely intact.
is it just me or does she look like the “Predator” wiout the mouth appendages?
Radical Democrats will sacrfise as many “Modersates” as they need to pass a bill.
Nasty lost 74 seats the election after they rammed through 0care
You think they'd learn from their pals in Hollywood--"you never go full retard."
Of course it is worth passing FOR THEM because it cements and codifies infrastructure in departments, buildings, and people necessary for them to tilt the table permanently in their favor.
And once they are cemented in place, like all other government entities, they exist only to themselves and are answerable mostly only to themselves with a sliver of congressional oversight, which will always have “friends” in place to protect them.
They can pass the House all they want. Isn’t it still hung up in the Senate with Manchin and Sinema saying no?
It should be illegal to be that ugly
Taking back the House depends on free and fair elections. Unless we can address election fraud, the Dems will win like they did in 2020.
Not the problem of the House.
You think the pressure and confrontations of Senators is bad now? It will be pretty bad.
I actually dove into this.
What they are trying to pass in the House is the original ‘infrastructure’ bill, the first one, passed by the Senate.
The Communist Bloc of the Democrat party don’t want that to pass the House unless the SECOND, bloated Communist Wish List bill passes.
Pelosi is trying to get the first one through without coupling to the second.
There is no CBO score on either, which is very bad and SHOULD be a REQUIREMENT to pass.
They’re going to lose the House anyway.
Send that butt-ugly commie back to whatever hellhole she crawled out of. I can’t see her as anything but highly destructive and hateful for America. Send those who voted her along for company.
How do you account for why the Democrats didn’t steal the election in Virginia?
Actually, the House is the one bright spot in the Election landscape.
Most statewide elections are vulnerable (Presidential, Federal Senate, State House and State Senate, Governor) because of the fraud that is concentrated in downtown, Democrat districts.
House races, however, are spread throughout any given state. The only fraud that is likely to occur there, will happen to Reps in those fraud-prone districts, only.
Oh, they tried. It's just they failed.
What she is saying is Congress will no longer matter.
Read what Lenin did with the Bolshevik to topple into violent communist revolution.
Jayapal is right out of the Marxist playbook.
The Totalitarian Junta must be resisted with every fiber of our being.
Paul Ryan pushed a bill that would have gutted the core of Obamacare -- the part that created a permanent entitlement for a federal expansion of Medicare. Had we killed that, the rest of it would eventually have crumbled.
But there were a lot of purists here and elsewhere who stamped their feet because it wasn't a "full repeal" -- for which we didn't have the votes -- and opposed that bill. So instead of repealing the key core of Obamacare and letting the rest eventually wither and die, we ended up with Obamacare being left "largely intact."
We almost got it through anyway despite the protestations of the full repeal purists, but they and their ally of convenience John McCain killed the bill in the Senate by one lousy vote.
Kamikaze democrats?
