I agree. I fully support our President (Trump) but his ego gets in his way sometimes. If he can learn to be a little more gracious and let others take the credit it would make him look even better in the eyes of American voters.
Reagan said that it didn’t matter who got the credit as long as what he wanted to happen did in fact happen. I wish that Trump would take a lesson from this.

Wrong. The VA gov is a Rino and it’s exactly the right play to make sure he knows that the Trump base isn’t for Rinos. You let them run with this we’d have Romney types nation wide. Trump is wise though because he supported this puke and now he’ll have sway.
What he said is probably true but every once in a while leaving something unspoken says more than mere words. This was one of those times.
Swerving out of his lane is what Trump does, he never gives an inch, he takes them. We can talk about upset parents in the burbs all day, but they took what’s been dished out to them in VA for a long time before Trump. He is the catalyst.

Oh, let him gloat, I suppose. It’s equally as true that Youngkin won because Trump offered his endorsement and then largely stayed on the sidelines.
Youngkin ran a brilliant campaign, successfully retaining Trump’s MAGA base while bringing home the #NeverTrumpers and suburban swing voters who flipped to Biden.

Spot on. He just cannot help himself. Unlike Biden who blames everyone else for his screwups, Pres. Trump allows no one to share his spotlight. And yes without Trump Youngkin does lose, but that is because too many Trump supporters aow no deviation from Trump devotion.

Youngkin didn’t invite Trump to physically campaign with him. So in my minority opinion it wasn’t much of a victory. A moderate squishy R guy won in VA and gave bare lip service to Trump and MAGA in general. Excuse me if I am not on cloud 9 today...
He's absolutely right to push back on this ridiculous narrative that started last night from the punditry on BOTH sides of the aisle, that "this proves Republicans do better without Trump." All the Wizards of Smart suddenly "forgot" that the Democrats spent the entire election making it all about Trump. That year-long scheme utterly backfired, but it's TRUMP "making it all about" himself? GTFO.
