Our ‘woke’ military claims “DIVERSITY is readiness!” - guess our folks out at 29 Palms didn’t have enough physically-challenged, multi-gender, ‘undocumented immigrants’ & ‘people of color’ onboard to fight effectively...

Just wait until we release our Krakken on them.

I am referring to Rachel Devine.

That's what I was thinking. Even though they were defeated, our kinder, gentler troops no-doubt were coached to feel good about themselves and know that they tried their best... I'm sure they're back in their safe space right now for a nice rest.

If any of them happen to read this sarcasm and are humiliated - good! You should be. You just got your a**es handed to you on your home field. It is time to forget all the leftist BS being shoved down your throats and get back to the real business of conducting war and preparing for war.

Say what you will of the Brits, but they are not weak, they still have some well know and respected units, and this was one of them.

I thought exercises were suppose to be like the real thing ???

“Oh yoohoo you Isis over there, we need a reset”

“OK Infidel we’ll go back to 9am yesterday. “

Oh goody. Thanks guys. Youre so woke”

Marines are marines. And if the Brits used the SAS? This looked like just regular forces not special forces.

There isn't actually all that much meat to this story other than the disgraceful request for a "reset" (unless the reset is a way to restart the exercise and make the most of the training time, any officer that requests a reset in a training exercise just because they're losing should be relieved of command for the thing they were training for).

Of course SOF units beat regular units in an exercise. The SOF units are more experienced, better trained on how to win, probably more familiar with the territory, and this last bit is important... trying to win.

The regular units, while otherwise quite capable, were trying to follow a script, expecting that careful execution of a script was going to be the key to success.

I’ll lay odds there were rules of engagement that hampered our troops.

"“Seeing no opportunity for victory, American combatants asked for the exercise to be
‘reset’ halfway through.”"

The military is merely following the liberal's example of changing the rules midstream
when losing.

China and Russia, among others, are watching closely.

Anyone care to speculate how many senior Marine officers will be retiring and selling their comfortable homes in California? Peacetime American military leadership has been historically abysmal.

I guess you’re right, and there was some sort of mismatch. Maybe ROE, or maybe Elite troops matched against regulars.

The Daily Mail are ignorantly spiking the ball, but (as a Briton) I’m not. Mismatches are a vital part of training and this seems like an excellent, productive exercise.

Also the ‘reset’ that the Mail is gloating about seems like a good optimisation of training time.

Today’s military with the likes of Miley aren’t interested in victory but rather in looking “good.” - while losing.

.............back in the day, when I had 60-80 employees, it used to amaze me how much EVERYBODY perked up, paid attention and really stepped up their game after someone in the ranks had been terminated.

General McKenzie and General Millie need to be FIRED as unceremoniously and publicly as possible. They were instead essentially rewarded for the Afghan debacle by not being fired. Our rank and file troops AND our Society rarely see accountability, period. I pray this situation gets corrected before the next ground pounding war or we are going to lose a lot of people as evidenced by this 29 Palms ass kicking.

I think that UK Freepers like me should apologise for the Daily Mail’s bizarrely gloating tone.

It’s unwarranted and horribly counter-productive. Some training exercises (like this one I guess) are unmatched - and this is by design. The Mail is being childish.
