Viral video shows the moment an enraged man slugs a woman in the face in a crowded Big Apple subway car during rush hour — after she tells him to take a “chill pill.”
The disturbing incident — initially posted on TikTok and reshared on Twitter Wednesday, where it’s received 2.4 million views — unfolded on a D train near 145th Street in Harlem around 5:50 p.m. Monday, the original poster said.

The footage begins with the man standing over the woman, who was sitting down, yelling, “Say it to my face now! Tell me to take a chill pill! Say the word, ‘chill pill.’”
“Chill pill,” she replies, looking him in the eye.
He immediately socks her in the side of the face — as people in the car gasp.
“You wilin’, she a female!” the filmer says.
“Mind your business — say it again,” the man threatens the woman again as he moves away. “I’m dealing with my f–king kids, you understand?”
He then launches into a tirade, addressing the whole train car, ending with, “When I’m standing on the train, move out the way!”

I’m looking at a murder case where the woman has babies both from one of the killers and from one of the victims. She had more babies with the killer and sided with him, giving false testimony.

“Take a chill pill” was originally ghetto vernacular. How dare she culturally appropriate /s. And the eco minded train brains demand we give up our cars and use mass transit.

I agree. While she didn’t deserve to be assaulted if she wanted to intervene positively she should have said some thing that was not both commanding and insulting at the same time to an already enraged man - you just become one more person pissing him off. When a man is riled up like that you have to be diplomatic or you have just inserted yourself into a tense situation situation as an adversary.
I would’ve said something like “Hey, I don’t know the backstory but I have been right where you are now myself and I have wished more than once that I had taken a quick pause to think of the best approach to the problem.” Even that might have elicited an assault.
That being said, the woman took that punch like a man and gave back a hard, unflinching stare right into his eyes.
Then the ‘good black people’ ought to step forward and take this POS out! Damned shame it has come to this! TFB the little lady wasn’t armed!
We need a chill pill mandate. Now!
