Youngkin to Newsmax: Virginia Gov Race 'Is a Movement, Not a Campaign'
Newsmax ^ | Oct 30 | By Charles Kim

Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin told Newsmax on Friday that momentum is shifting his way from his Democratic rival, former Gov. Terry McAuliffe, in the race because he is part of "a movement, not a campaign."

McAuliffe "calls his friend [President] Joe Biden, and has Joe Biden send the FBI in to try to silence parents' voices in Virginia," Youngkin said on "The Chris Salcedo Show." "And parents just aren't having any part of it. This is a movement, not a campaign, and it is so exciting to be part of it."

A key issue in the race is how parents in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Loudoun County are challenging the school board there regarding what is being taught in the classrooms, as well as allegations that the district covered up the alleged rape of a female high school student by a male student wearing a skirt in a girls' restroom.

"We've just seen Virginians come together," he said. "It's no longer Republicans against Democrats, and what we plan on doing is making sure that schools are teaching our children how to think, and not what to think, that in fact, we're engaging with parents and listening to them."

Youngkin said that when he is elected, he will begin a charter school initiative to give parents dissatisfied with their school district a choice of where their children can go.

We’ll see what the Democrat mail-in ballot printing-press has to say about that.

The three R’s is the foundation.

Civics and History can come later.

The racists can shove their CRT right up Obamas ass.

Work in NoVa and I see parents p.o.ed beyond belief.

Not sure McAwful can cheat through this.

Probably but I’m hopeful. Major prayers.

I pray for a positive outcome in VA. I really do. But I’m afraid authentic elections are a thing of our past. I will be very surprised if Youngkin is allowed to win.

It’s American parents VS.. Democrat election fraud. Plain and simple.

It’s going to be a bit tough for McAuliffe to cheat his way around this. Even in democrat areas here in Hampton Roads, the Youngkin signs vastly outnumber those for McAuliffe.

McAuliffe awakened a sleeping giant with his remark about parents not having an input on education.

I lived in Virginia for a lil over a year. Beautiful place.
That said, the local, state, county governments felt very oppressive. Taxing everything and anything. Regulation out the ying yang.

You purchased liquor from the ABC store. IF you wanted to go out to a pub/bar...you had to have a membership. Cops would routinely pick a roadway, close it down and check your papers (license, registration, insurance) before you could move from point A to point B. Crazy stuff.

Personal property taxes. Before moving to Virginia to take a job, I had purchased a new Mercury Cougar. Paid Texas state sales tax upon purchase. After a period of time, I had to register that same auto with the state..AND the county. 3 stickers on my vehicle. I had to pay a personal property taxes to the county/state.

Anyhow, just glad to be back in Texas. We have our issues for sure, but I feel much freer here than in Virginia. And don't get me started on Maryland...good grief!

Youngkin has already said he'll accept the election results, so McAwful hired Marc Elias to do the usual lawsuits and scrounge up votes.

No Republican should ever accept the election results ever again after what happened to Trump in 2020.
