After weeks of being locked in too-close-to call polling in the race for governor of Virginia, Republican Glenn Youngkin has now taken a healthy lead over Democrat and former Gov. Terry McAuliffe in the latest surveys.
Because of the surge toward Youngkin, there are now signs he might win by a big enough margin to elect his two statewide ticketmates and help Republicans pick up the six seats they need to take control of the state House of Delegates.
A Fox News poll released Thursday, showing first-time candidate Youngkin leading McAuliffe by 53% to 45%, sent a jolt throughout the Old Dominion State.
Two weeks ago, the same poll showed the two in a virtual tie.
An Echelon Insights poll Friday showed Youngkin defeating McAuliffe 49% to 46%.

They have worked too hard in Va making it a blue stronghold. Now Marc Elias is involved, I will be shocked if Youngkin wins!

The growth that has occurred in Fairfax and Loudon Counties is incredible. We moved to Fairfax County in 1996. Left there in 2008. I barely recognize it when I visit it now.

People just went about living their meaningless lives. Nobody cared.
I was going to say the exact same words. When the winner is announced as Younkin and the GOPers, I will believe it.
Fraud happenned in other locations controlled by the Dems in the last presidential election. The Richmond suburb of Henrico County found thousands of votes over night to pull out the win for Spanberger. 2 other congressional seats were lost in similar fashion in the Hampton roads and South of Richmond area. Hoping this time we get the win across the board as we probably should.

Polls don’t measure fraud votes.
“ When the voter total starts going over 100% plus in those counties, then all bets are off and everybody starts screaming.”
When that happens, they should save their vocal chords and start shooting instead.

Hard to believe. I really thought the Biden and Harris appearances were going to turn things around for McAuliffe.
