Coming Apart

Covidstan has sufficiently restricted my movements these last two years that I see fewer things firsthand than I might wish and am dependent, therefore, on media coverage, which is never a good thing. The parents pushing back against the social engineers (at best) and (at worst) rape-enablers of the Virginia school boards seem, given the provocations, calm and of moderate mien by comparison with the sick ideological commissars attempting to silence them.

But elsewhere there is the increasing sense that the combination of Covid, the election and the accelerating politicization of agencies such as the Department of Justice and the FBI have pushed us closer to the Yeatsian point: "the centre cannot hold". This exchange is making the rounds:

AUDIENCE MEMBER: When do we get to use the guns? No, and I'm not — that's not a joke. I'm not saying it like that. I mean, literally, where's the line? How many elections are they going to steal before we kill these people?

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was not anxious to go down this road:

KIRK: I'm going to denounce that and I'm going to tell you why. Because you're playing into all their plans and they're trying to make you do this... They are trying to make you do something that will be violent that will justify a takeover of your freedoms and liberties, the likes of which we have never seen.

Is that what they want? To push us to open rebellion? So that in Angela Lansbury's words in The Manchurian Candidate It will make martial law look like a picnic.

Living under fascism
But not fighting back
Because if you fight back, it will justify more fascism.

I get that.

But I would suggest that any serious effort by the feds to take guns should instantly be seen as a game changer for our view of”what we will put up with”.

I’ve seen the news from Australia. Those people are in trouble. I don’t want to be them.

1930s Germany did not fight back and they still got more fascism.

Not resisting is not an option.

I have friends who believe; since the election was stolen, Afghanistan was a debacle, the Green New Deal will destroy the country and therefore action must be taken. I tell them this is Jimmy Carter II and Americans won’t stand for this and this will be fixed in next elections 2022 & 24.

But then I open the news and read only stories, let us know who was offended, who got cancelled, what innocent gesture was perceived as racist, what violent criminal is now a hero, in what city was a police officer charged with a crime for injuring a perp resisting arrest. It is really an upside down country and not sure how it got crazy and if it can be fixed.

A sad and sobering observation of where we are and what lies ahead.

They’re going to do what they’re going to do no matter what we do.

The only difference is who gets the sympathy.

We go violent, they will have the coveted victim card, we sit and play nice, we get the victim card. Yay.

The country is being pulled down, like ants on a grasshopper but there are plenty of people who will make a killin’ talking about it.

Well they completely surrounded the White House and called in the National Guard before.....any uprising is likely to get knocked down as well. They do have the power.

I believe the only solution is if the military got behind the people.....and that is something that’s very slow coming in any country where the people are enraged with their leadership.

Funny this should come up today because Psalm 94 is todays church reading in Roman Catholic churches:

The Lord is a God who avenges.
O God who avenges, shine forth.

Rise up, Judge of the earth;
pay back to the proud what they deserve.

How long, Lord, will the wicked,
how long will the wicked be jubilant?

They pour out arrogant words;
all the evildoers are full of boasting.

They crush your people, Lord;
they oppress your inheritance.

They slay the widow and the foreigner;
they murder the fatherless.

They say, “The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob takes no notice.”

Take notice, you senseless ones among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?

Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?

Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?

The Lord knows all human plans;
he knows that they are futile.

Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord,
the one you teach from your law;

you grant them relief from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked.

For the Lord will not reject his people;
he will never forsake his inheritance.

Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

Who will rise up for me against the wicked?
Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?

Unless the Lord had given me help,
I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.

When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.

When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy.

Can a corrupt throne be allied with you—
a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?

The wicked band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.

But the Lord has become my fortress,
and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.

He will repay them for their sins
and destroy them for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will destroy them.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Many will not wait for the box cars. Some will go on the offense. I could do immense damage as an individual. So can you. 3 or 4 man teams are a multiplier. The key is to survive to inflict immense pain/damage.

I’m not saying I am to that point or on that pat but have no doubts on the reality of a single dedicated and capable person who feel like nothing left to lose. Sad really.

I am not sure the victim card is worth the paper it is written on. The winners write history and in the history books they are always the victims that overcame adversity. You think if the Nazis had won the Jews would be victims. No they would have been the vermin Nazis exterminated for the good of the world just as they were portrayed in Nazi propaganda. The victim card expires if you lose.

If the left steals one more election you will know that you are never going to end things peacefully. History shows over and over that you can vote your way into socialism but you have to shoot your way out.

“I believe the only solution is if the military got behind the people”

This is correct. Our 500 million rifles on our homesteads can protect ourselves ok, and can maybe organize into Red Dawn-style raids, but, alone, we’re no match to overthrown the US govt and Deep State.

We non-military could push the military in certain directions. Protests won’t do it. Only a crushing Galt-shutdown will do it — but so far, the Regime is being very crafty and careful to raise the temperature in our boiling pot very slowly.

I agree.......the administration knows very well what the tipping point would be....they’re willing to push things further and further until they determine if it’s too hot to go on. Masters at deception they’ll appease the public.

Just heard the Biden and EU agreed to erase and or lighten the tariffs on steel and aluminum......so Biden’s playing football with the EU again....and they always win.

Kirk makes a good point. But there has been little opposition to the leftist / marxist project the past 50 years and look what it has brought us to.

I like Kirk's proposal whereby states like Idaho tell the federal government to shove off. If there can be over 500 "sanctuary" radical leftist jurisdictions, then we need radical conservative sanctuary jurisdictions.
