'An outrage against democracy': JFK's nephews urge Biden to reveal secret assassination records after president delayed their publication for year

The White House said Friday it would delay the release of long-classified documents related to the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy ..

Joe Biden cited the 'significant impact' of the COVID-19 pandemic as cause for the holdup..

Biden wrote in a statement that 'an interim release' of the remaining classified files 'shall be withheld from full public disclosure' until December 15..

A second batch of records will be released to the public in a 'more comprehensive release in late 2022,' .. .

In 2018, Donald Trump released 19,000 secret files on the assassination, but withheld 14,000 records on national security grounds through October 26..

...

slowed by the pandemic ..

John F. Kennedy's nephews are slamming the Biden administration's decision to withhold JFK assassination records that remain under seal until late 2022 – with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. calling it an 'outrage.'

The Biden White House released a memorandum on the records Friday night explaining the continuation of the delay, which followed a decision by former President Donald Trump to withhold thousands of records.

'It’s an outrage. It’s an outrage against American democracy. We’re not supposed to have secret governments within the government,' RFK, Jr.

'How the hell is it 58 years later, and what in the world could justify not releasing these documents?'

Former Rep. Patrick Kennedy, the son of longtime Biden friend late Sen. Ted Kennedy, also slammed the decision, although in softer terms.

'I think for the good of the country, everything has to be put out there so there’s greater understanding of our history,' he said.

Kennedy said it was a time of 'a lot of conspiracy theories' and noted there is 'a tendency to distrust government in general.'

The CIA sources and methods of assassination need to be protected!

“...58 years later, and what in the world could justify not releasing these documents?’”

Apparantly someone important and relevant to what happened is still alive, and it would affect them badly.

What got published in the Warren Commission Report (26 volumes...essential summary around 800 pages) was what agreed with the Commission. Literally hundreds of people who were witnesses...were never heard.

A lot of the behind the scenes problems leads back to the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s secret CIA wars. Go read up on the assassination attempt on the French President and his phone call to Kennedy asking why the CIA was involved in that effort. French never accepted the Warren Commission explanation.

We know it isn’t Biden as he was either logging in Idaho, or coal mining in PA...

People who were involved are still alive, and if we know who they are we would want them shot. Plus they would be very embarassed

The CIA sources and methods of assassination need to be protected!

If there is such info, it will pertain to potential CIA attempts to kill Castro or otehr world leaders. There is no official government file that will state "the CIA killed JFK" or "LBJ ordered it", etc. Even if those things happened, the facts are not in some "secret file" waiting for the proper time to be released.

I agree that there is most likely not one “smoking gun” document proving the CIA killed JFK.

But, as in any complex event, it may be a combination of documents that point in that direction—anything that directly contradicts the Warren Report/official narrative would meet that criteria.

I will give you one simple example. The “official” version claims that Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby did not know each other.

I am convinced that statement is false (for a bunch of reasons). A document proving it was false would open up a can of worms...

The conspiracy theories would be more proven than disproved only bolstered by the similarities to modern day government dealings

THAT'S why.

Assassination was the result of a Cuban intelligence operation with the aid of the Soviet Union.

If this were released to the public at the time, we would have demanded war with a nuclear powered enemy.

If evidence were released today, there are those who would demand Cuban heads at minimum.

This theory also explains why Cuba is the only communist country we haven’t normalized relations with for such a long time.

IMHO
