The Biden administration is reportedly considering paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars to migrant families separated at the southern border during the Trump administration, about $1 billion in total.
Officials from the departments of Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, and Justice have proposed paying each person $450,000, or nearly $1 million per two-person family, to settle claims about the lasting traumatic and psychological effects of being torn apart as a result of former President Donald Trump’s zero-tolerance policy, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday afternoon.

The left for many years has used collusive lawsuits and coordinated agency settlements to advance policies that could never be enacted by legitimate means. This has all the earmarks.
At some time during the campaign or immediately after the election, it became clear that the Biden administration would work full tilt for open borders. Nominal statements of policy were irrelevant; at every point of decision at every operational level, the Biden junta would gut immigration control and open the floodgates.
The hard core open border activists probably sat around a conference table with the Biden personnel team and discussed who would join the administration and work from the inside and who would stay outside in the pressure groups. They would also have discussed in detail how they would cooperate. Everything shown to the public was nothing more than a kabuki dance.
With regard to this particular venture, the inside players in the Biden administration probably collaborated with the ACLU in drafting the lawsuit, and the ACLU and other activist groups consulted on the DHS/DOJ/Biden administration response. It is probably a seamless conspiracy.
The question is whether any outside group has the standing to intervene and whether any outside group has had the time to get up to speed. The conspirators may have operated quite secretly in the hopes of springing a done deal before anyone else can act.
This is old hat for the left. The environmental groups and organized labor have done this with democrat administrations for many years. I imagine it has happened in many other areas as well.
There’s always a chance that a judge or an appellate court won’t go along, but if the plaintiff and the defendant are in agreement, the deck is pretty well stacked.
Guess there will be lots of Caucasian English-speaking lawn services forming for the newly minted illegal border crossing millionaires...
The Charleston church settlement also looks like a collusive lawsuit.
People in this country work their entire lives to save that much money.
Having said that, maybe this joke of an administration is floating this ridiculous trial balloon to make black reparations seem more reasonable by comparison.
There should be a law that any compensation paid to illegal immigrants be decided on the pay scale of their own country.
Why make suggestions for something that should not be happening?!? They were coming ILLEGALLY.
