If a woman killed a would-be rapist, CNN would want to label the rapist a “victim”.

The Wisconsin judge in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse is right about that.

But the word "victim" is not one of them.

And that's where the judge is very wrong.

Every one of them was chasing Kyle. One had a gun, another had a skateboard that he hit Kyle with. We don't really know what happened between the cars with Kyle and Rosenbaum but he's on film earlier that day being a typical ex-convict punk and he does have a record, albeit not related to that night. It was for rape or at least sexual assault of young boys.
