Watch: Ted Cruz eviscerates Merrick Garland over Targeting Parents
Louder with Crowder ^ | October 27, 2021 | Joseph Gunderson

Posted on 10/27/2021 6:14:46 PM PDT by JeepersFreepers

This afternoon, Attorney General Merrick Garland testified before a congressional hearing, and he wasn't prepared for the kind of metaphorical beating he was going to receive. Senator Ted Cruz gave one helluva performance, skull dragging Garland for every single person in the chamber to see. It made for very compelling television. It was magnificent.

And before Garland could even begin to process anything, Cruz eviscerated him. He demonstrated just how the AG did, in fact, weaponize the DOJ against parents in an act of political persecution. Garland played stupid—which is never difficult for a leftist hack—as Cruz drilled into him about the FBI being sicked on parents, who the National School Board Association recently described as "domestic terrorists", an event linked directly to the recent rape of a young girl in a Loudoun County school.

Cruz proceeded to grind the white-haired radical into the floor as Garland refuses to answer questions relating to the conflict of interest regarding the DOJ protecting the teaching of CRT and his son-in-law profiting from it.

I cannot describe the throttling properly without thousands of words. Needless to say, you must watch the video to appreciate it, and I promise you will not be disappointed.

This is a must see video (9.4 minutes); well worth your time. Click on the source link for the video. Or, here is the link on YouTube.

Cruz tore Garland a new one. Just think, a few more votes in the last election and Texas would have Beto as senator. Cruz won only be 3 points. Scary!

I’m glad Beta is running for Texas governor.
He’s a garbage disposal for liberal campaign cash.

Cotton and Haley both told him he should resign. Not that he will.

It was excellent. We really dodged a bullet by not putting that corrupt man on the Supreme Court

And Garland will go back to his comfy office, surrounded by his yes men, and ignore the whole thing.

You contradict your own tagline about Republicans being ball-less. Cruz is being assertive and standing up. I disagree that Cruz’s diatribe was meaningless. We are always accusing Republicans of not standing up against the tyrannical left. Would you rather Cruz be like the ball-less Cornyn, the other Texas senator, who never stands up for conservatives? Cruz’s performance will help motivate other conservatives and help expose Garland for the scumbag that he is.

One of the things you’ll often see in a Federal courtroom is the judge interrupting counsel’s argument to ask a question, and counsel not wanting to give the answer he knows will hurt his case. Instead, inexperienced counsel will do just what Garland is doing, that is attempting to answer a different question, or saying something like “I’ll get to that, your Honor”. The judge will have to stop them and insist they answer the question. Sometimes, this colloquy will go on for three or four exchanges before counsel gets reined in by an increasingly annoyed judge. I am enjoying Garland’s evasions tremendously, since I am sure that as a Federal judge he frequently chastised counsel for doing the same thing.

What you learn with experience is that when the judge interrupts you to ask a question, you stop and answer the question directly as well as you can. You can then rehabilitate your argument by saying something like “But I submit that the better question to ask or the better perspective is …” You get credit for being forthright, and keep the judge focused on the point you’re trying to make without irritating him.
